The Next Margaret Thatcher

Here’s an outstanding woman who heads the Conservative Party in the UK. This is a wonderful interview detailing why this woman has embraced a conservative philosophy of government. What intrigued me was that the economist that first galvanized her attention on conservatism was the great Thomas Sowell, whom she belatedly learned was a black American. During the interview, she mentions some of the great books on economics that profoundly influenced her thought including: Hayek’s Road to Serfdom,Acemoglu and Robinson’s Why Nations Fail, Haidt’s The Righteous Mind, and Scrutons’s How to be a Conservative. What a phenomenal choice of reference books.

What we are witnessing is the triumph of common sense, brought about most significantly by the rise of Donald Trump and his pragmatic MAGA vision of governance. It’s happening throughout the Western World as seen in Italy, Hungary, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, and other nations rejecting leviathan government in favor of greater human liberty. How much greater the prospects of peace in the world have grown, again by the influence of Trump’s great victory. Trump is the man who will be acknowledged for having restored sane democracy to our land and to other lands.

Therefore, , I shall make a prediction that this fine woman may well turn out to be the successor of Margaret Thatcher.
