It’s looking like the SEC will go with a 3-6-6 format for 16 schools, similar to the ACC doing a 3-5-5 for 14 schools. SI is trying to figure out the three permanent rivals for all of them. Some I think are going to pan out exactly this way, when you look at what the league wants from Texas (OU,TAMU, Ark) and what Alabama will continue playing (Aub, LSU, Tenn) but some are projections…
- Missouri: Oklahoma, Arkansas, Vanderbilt
- Arkansas: Missouri, Texas, Ole Miss
- Texas A&M: LSU, Texas, Mississippi State
- Texas: Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Arkansas
- Oklahoma: Texas, Missouri, Florida
- LSU: Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Alabama
- Ole Miss: Mississippi State, LSU, Arkansas
- Mississippi State: Ole Miss, Kentucky, Texas A&M
- Alabama: Auburn, Tennessee, LSU
- Auburn: Alabama, Georgia, Vanderbilt
- Vanderbilt: Tennessee, Auburn, Missouri
- Tennessee: Vanderbilt, Alabama, South Carolina
- Kentucky: Mississippi State, South Carolina, Georgia
- Georgia: Auburn, Florida, Kentucky
- Florida: Georgia, South Carolina, Oklahoma
- South Carolina: Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky
Tennessee suddenly wouldn’t get UGA or UF every year. Florida loses LSU each year but could pick up Oklahoma? We barely got comfortable with Bama and TAMU and it may not be an annual game any longer. Do you agree with the permanent three per school? Who make out if this pans out? Who got hosed?
