Not at all, but Biden didn’t control Congress. That said, absolutely, he should have done more to get the information released. None of my point is to excuse Biden.
Democrats were already on record wanting the release of the files. No “trap” is necessary. Trump can direct it without Congress, and Congress can vote on it without Democrats.
No chess game is necessary. All that’s needed is the will to do it.

Prior to Trump, document releases were primarily done by the judges in the cases. I’m not sure I can think of another case where a President openly talked about releasing the documents or used it for the benefit of a campaign, like Trump. This is Trump’s baby.
