By the way, 305 I miss our former discussions about fine wines and happen to be of the belief that the finest wine in world comes from your state in spite of its political craziness. You have a learned palette for wine. Last night, I went to a great Italian trattoria that has opened in Pensacola wherein they had a special of a stone fired small margarita pizza and BOTTLE of Tablas CreekCalifornia red wine All for $25… That was my first bottle of Tablas Creek, but won’t be my last. I added to that an order of their fried calamari that was sensationally delicious… Pensacola has great seafood. In fact, after the beach, the second favorite tourist destination is Captain Joe Patti’s seafood market, one of the best anywhere with seafood imported from local and worldwide sources. Nothing beat Apalachicola oysters. And, oysters purportedly put lead in your pencil.

Great choice! My wife and I, along with another couple we hang out with, drink Tablas Creek quite a bit. In fact just last weekend at their pool. We’ve also been to the winery a few times as they happen to be members there. That’s an amazing price for a bottle and a pie.
Just last month we took a family vacation up north and one of our stops was Napa. To be honest I thought it would be a little snooty and pretentious but the town itself feels like a small country town. Or at least what a city boy like myself thinks as a small country town. The wineries themselves are a bit overpriced for tastings, but they’re nice. At one place tastings were $50 each, so instead we ordered a $50 bottle and enjoyed more wine at one place. The other one we visited was an actual castle made with European materials and medieval building techniques. That was fun because they had flights of grape juice tastings for the kids.
Napa was a fine place, but I still prefer the much closer to me Paso Robles. As for Pensacola, I’ve only been once. Next time I will check out some of their seafood.

House Democrats were able to pass a motion in the GOP-controlled House Oversight subcommittee to subpoena ALL the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Republicans were blindsided because Democrats dropped an 11th-hour motion at an unrelated hearing after noticing that most GOP members on the panel had publicly demanded the files be released.
The GOP chair was caught off guard and scrambled—first delaying the vote, then trying to sabotage it by adding amendments to include Biden administration communications. Democrats called their bluff and agreed.
Then the GOP chair, Rep. Higgins, lied, claiming the motion FAILED until Rep. Robert Garcia forced a full roll call vote.
Ultimately, the vote passed 8-2 after 3 Republicans DEFIED their leadership and joined all 5 Democrats to pass the motion.

He said he never cheated on his wives. He said he will release his taxes once the audit is done.
