Team Stats ... Miami Louisville

Fairly even game statistically.

This loss is on Beck. 4 picks FFS!!! What a loser.

Miami will end up a three loss team (maybe a four loss team and will not make the playoffs.)

Aside from Stanford, which is terrible this year, and maybe VT, the rest of the teams could easily beat Miami. So the last 6 games are 2-4, 3-3 or at best 4-2.

Miami might end up in the Top 20 but a 50/50 chance they won’t.

Mario built up the roster but he wasn’t brought in to be mediocre in year 4.

Miami was badly outcoached by Louisville. And Miami can’t leave it up to the refs. They have to win going away.

Beck will not be drafted in the NFL draft but will sign as a UFA and be cut. He just isn’t that good. He forces too many throws, rarely looks off his primary and he can’t run at all.

Hate to say I told you so, but I’m not at all surprised Miami lost, are you?

I’m just disgusted.

Louisville always plays their best game against us. This year was no different. We literally beat ourselves. We had no answers. I still can’t get over the speed that they had.

I didn’t notice Stork, lol

And he isn’t. He’s one of the ten best teams in the country and the program is still on the rise. We are 5-1 against a Top 20 caliber schedule.

Mario is an exemplary human being, a CEO-type coach, whom parents love, and one of the best recruiters in college football. Mario has made us a physical team, of which our opponents are well aware. Even as poorly as we played in this game, had the defender not deflected Beck’s pass, the receiver was wide open and might have scored a TD on that play. Under Mario, Miami can step on the field with anybody and is capable of being victorious. As a Miami fan since the fifties, I think we’ve got the best squad we’ve had in the last two decades. Mario is not a great coach, but he’s definitely a good one and has substantially bettered the program.

Stats don’t matter, wins do. I would rather lose the stats game than the game itself.

We got exposed, again. Poyser said it “we were not prepared.” This is where a Saban type of guy would be prepared or at the very least make the adjustments sooner rather than later.

Stats give one a good idea of what occurred in the game.

The game was fairly even stats-wise with one glaring exception, Beck.

Beck cost Miami the game. Who the fck throws 4 picks without seeing all the much pressure???

His inability to run is a real negative in today’s football.

IMHO, Beck should be benched. I would start Williams next week and see how he does.

Beck is gone after this season anyway. Unless Miami signs a high caliber free agent transfer QB for next season, Williams is the probable starter for 2026. Might as well know now if he is up to the job.

The roster in stronger, Mario is a great recruiter, I want him to succeed for years to come.

However, I think he gets one more year (2026) to achieve something noteworthy, ACCCG, playoffs, etc.

I think Miami will end up 9-3 or 8-4 this season. No playoffs, no ACCCG. And they will lose some bullshit bowl game (again.)

If they go 10-2 or 11-1 in the regular season, I will gladly admit that I was wrong.

They don’t grow on trees.

You are out of your skull, sir.

Beck was horrible. He will be probably be horrible next week, too.

He just isn’t that good. He was bad at the end of FSU, too. A very mediocre, overhyped, overpaid college QB IMHO.

If he is the best QB Miami has, Miami is screwed.

What about Nickell for next year?

No, they don’t grow on trees but Mario was on his staff…should have learned something about gameday preparation!

Ya he was bad…Even if he is all that (I mean he’s probably made as more or more big time throws against top 20 defenses in games that mattered against anybody in CFB today, so he isn’t all that)…But even if he is bad, he is much better than Emory Williams.

I think it sends a message to the team that absolutely sucking is okay if Beck starts the next game.

Start Emerson, see how he handles it. If he sucks yank him and bring in Beck to be the “savior.”

Sitting Beck down might wake him the fck up.

Not liking the trend, look at Beck’s pick to TD ratio the past two seasons. Not so great.

That said, I’m sure Cristobal/Dawson will start Beck next week. And he will probably suck again, because, well, he sucks.

Despite Beck’s abysmal execution and propensity to throw picks, some of the L-ville loss is on Dawson, too as his play calling is much too predictable. DC’s dream of facing an OC like Dawson who does all the predicable things over and over again and never seems to adjust to what the defense is doing. As well, Miami’s DC should have expected the things Brohm threw at him in the first quarter like the fake FG for one. Brohm did all the expected things when a offense faces and team with a formidable pass rush.

After 6 games, I no longer care because I know how the rest of the season is going to go. I’ll be pleased to be proven wrong.

Beck will start. He tried to do too much in the UL game.

Agree on our DC NOT being prepared. Also agree on NOT being prepared for a fake FG. Brohm knew that we were not prepared and that’s why he went for that fake FG. Props to him. Also props to our DC for at least making some adjustments but overall our D did not come to play, especially our revamped secondary. Sheesh….

I suspect we will get back to what we do and that’s the stupid RPO, slow, plodding handoff up the middle, followed by a few bubble screens, dink and dunk and a deep shot to Toney or Daniels every so often.

I would truly like to see Dawson use our TE more and get our backs into space as opposed into the lard of the line.

Stanford are not a good team, so let’s see what adjustments we make.
