Started because both safeties ahead of him were hurt, one for 14 games. Poyer and Hyde, maybe some of you have heard of them.
Says he was one of the best safeties in the league
Graded out below league average. Any NFL analysis or sharp NFL mind will tell you that he is ok, some may even say below average. There is no one saying that he was above average except Storm. NOT ONE PERSON…Nor were they saying this before his injury. He was adequate filling in, nothing more or less. There’s not one worthwhile opinion in the NFL that would say Damar Hamlin is anything more above “decent”…or “A nice backup guy to have”

Again I filtered out all players who didn’t play 50% of snaps last year. 20% missed tackle rate is NOT GOOD AT ALL. In raw numbers he tied for 5th most misses in the league.
Hamlin had the worst missed tackle percentage of all safeties…And was 15th worst regardless of position in the league
But hey Storm thinks he is some stud safety…Again I’m not saying Damar Hamlin can’t play in his this league or wasn’t adequate or even he can’t improve. I’m just proving Storm Front wrong that he was anything but average (and that may be pushing it) last year.

GUY STARTED LAST YEAR AND HAD A SOLID STARTER YEAR AGAIN ON A ROOKIE CONTRACT……
Overall he was slightly below average but ADEQUATE NOT SOLID as a starter, but we agree anbargain on a rookie contract.
That’s why he had slight competition for his job, but was kept.
But the fact they have two aging safeties (although still amongst the best of the game when they did play last year) and the fact they wanted better than Hamlin as a backup, and possibly to be on the field all 3 in certain packages is why they signed a guy that will be above him on the depth chart.
