These “patriots” literally believe the Taliban over our own government. In the other thread Storm is saying how peaceful the Taliban leader who took over Kabul is.
Look, I’m all for discussing hard truths about how bad the Taliban are, whether or not they’re necessary in the region, and how much we screwed over Afghanistan. Fine. But to sit there and literally take the Taliban’s side over your own country’s is appalling.
Couldn’t have said it better. These “Patriots” saying certain factions are destroying our country while siding with groups who literally helped attack and kill us.

GSC has already said that he believes 911 was a CIA operation. Thus, the government attacked US Citizens to frame the messaging for why we need to go into Afghanistan and Iraq.
My counter to this is pretty simple:
What good does invading Afghanistan provide Bush or Elites? It is a no mans land known as “The Graveyard of Empires.” You’ll have to think long and hard on a logical reason for us to go there outside of Bin Laden.
Iraq on the other hand was too personal for Bush and why I hated him. The morning of 9/11 I said to my family that this just started Iraq 2.0 and it wasn’t because Iraq had anything to do with 9/11. It is this type of decision that leads to massive distrust and questioning of the CIA’s involvement in 9/11. Furthermore, there is hard proof that Bin Laden was involved with the CIA in the 80s or 90s. There are many other reasons for distrusting our own government but I don’t see the government as the problem as much as people within it, potentially groups.

I’ll again ask why on earth would we invade Afhhanistan vs Saudia Arabia, Iran, Egypt, or any other country that has better resources? The motive was pretty clear even if it wasn’t a great one to start a 20 year war (a bunch of Terrorists).

If you wanted to oil we would have just invaded Kuwait instead of Iraq doing it. You don’t go into Afghanistan unless you want to own it…no one has ever gone into that country and won’t war against them. Look at history…

Eh, I’m not going to pretend to be a geopolitical expert. There are probably plenty of possible malignant reasons to have invaded Afghanistan, and Iraq, and everywhere. Even if it was just to feed the military machine. And I’m sure that, even when the reasons are noble, there are a lot of opportunists who take advantage of the situation.
What I DON’T believe without serious evidence is a Taliban spokesman who’s trying to play innocent and deflect blame. These guys are playing the victim card and trying to put all the hate on the USA.
