Source: WSU coach Rolovich out after vax refusal

This is controversial

Walking away from 3m and his players

He chose not to get vaccinated…and the university chose to no longer employ him. Seems fair.

Does he think he gets into another P5 program anytime soon ?!

Actions have consequences. This is definitely a first in college football I believe.

Love it…It’s called integrity and honor

No one can take your name from you, in the end it’s all you got.

Unfortunately, that’s the world we live in right now. Very little logic employed when it comes to the mandates.

Props to him for sticking to his beliefs.

Many people have experienced serious side effects, even death, from the COVID vaccines. For that reason, I oppose mandates.

Adults can make their own decisions, their own risk assessments. Unless one is very elderly or has significant health issues, the risk of serious illness and/or death from COVID is tiny.

I imagine given his constant exposure to people, Rolovich has already had COVID at some point and, like the vast majority of people, quickly recovered from it.

For 3 Mil, I’d be getting the vaccine even though I disagree with mandating COVID inoculation. The risk posed by the vaccine is apparently as small as the risk posed by COVID itself for most people.

He should just claim to be a transgender illegal alien and immediately convert to islam, then the woketards will leave him alone.

Lol. Well that’s just funny. Thank you.

And that’s relevant because?

It’s relevant because that’s why Washington (and Oregon) have vaccine mandates in the first place.

Veteran cops, firefighters, medical staff, et al are being fired for the same reason. Incredibly stupid policy IMHO.

But WSU isn’t in Orgeon

It is near Oregon and plays then in sports.

What??? Washington State U isn’t in Oregon??? Who knew???

Nevermind. :grinning:

I had Oregon on the brain for some reason, sorry. I suppose because the linked story was from “The Oregonian” which is presumably located in Oregon.

Similar to Oregon, Washington also has a batshyt crazy governor who is mandate-happy. The entire West Coast has been taken over by former Californians with predictable results.

The coach and his assistants are suing the university for wrongful dismissal. I imagine they will settle out of court for a tidy sum.

The University erred and will wind having to pay an extravagant amount of money for legal services since it will be ordered not only to rehire this coach but pay punitive damages. IMO Madstork has it right. You cannot compel an employee with threat of dismissal to submit to a vaccine that has more reports of adverse effects than any vaccine in history. Additionally, there is the matter of religious beliefs and the manufacture of the vaccine using aborted fetuses. The university should quickly settle the case in the interest of saving the tax payers a lot of money.
