Skill not Color Marilyn

Marilyn is from Green Bay, and she is a shareholder of the Green Bay Packer organization. Unfortunately, Marilyn has a problem with the Packer draft. Here’s an excerpt from Marilyn’s letter to management.

Out of the 11 players drafted by the Packers in the 2022 NFL Draft none are white. I also looked at the first two rounds of 64 and found that only 11 players drafted by all the teams were white. When I Googled the question of how many white overall were drafted, Google wouldn’t answer it. I wonder why. I sure hope we aren’t going to have to hear all the whining about equity, justice and all the markings on hats and shoes and all else. I suggest the NFL is actually racist for always choosing and highlighting black players. I am sure that is why you chose Love for a QB when he never should have been chosen. I hope the Packers will play the National Anthem and fly the flag high with the planes going over as they always have. Anyone who doesn’t respect and honor our flag and our military heroes does not belong on the Packer roster. So for the 2022-2023 season, let’s just play football and leave all the politics and racism out of the stadium.

What a weirdo. Some people have nothing better to do.

Sports is one of best arenas where merit prevails. Race is immaterial, and achievement is measurable. Should there be an affirmative action program in football for Asians? Of course not. Do you want an affirmative action, less skilled brain surgeon performing your procedure, or do you want the nerd finishing first in his medical school class? When the rights of some are greater than others you have an Orwellian society.

The upcoming Supreme Court ruling relating to Asians being discriminated against in admissions at both Harvard and UNC should see the end of affirmative action and restoration of the Equal Protection of the Law Clause. This coupled with an overturn of Roe v. Wade are two corrections of two badily decided cases where the Supreme Court overstepped its constitutional function.

Overturning Roe will not halt abortions, but it will clean up the Constitution. There’s no need for all this leftist demonstrating. Things will remain much the same.
