Long way to go but things seem to be trending our way. He has also already used his OV’s to UGA, who will likely be our main competition (surprise). I’m sure they will have something up their sleeve but TRob paying dividends here. The kid is fascinated with him apparently and rightfully so. He can make this kid a lot of money in 3-4 years. IF this were to happen and these 4 kids all sign with us, on paper it would be the best CB class I have ever seen. Absolutely amazing when you think about what we dealt with the last 5 years.

Is Singletary that much better than anyone else on our board?
I know he’s from the Jacksonville area but haven’t seen much from him.
You watch the tape and tell me, lol. There won’t be any “is he really a Safety on the next level?” questions with him. He is 6’1 175, extremely long and extremely fluid. He is the prototype and why OSU, the CB factory as of late, took him so early.

It’s splitting hairs, and that’s a positive because this corner group is a A+
More importantly is that the entire group have a higher potential than what’s on campus (not named Stevenson). Couch is good, and because Miami sees a season coming from him, I see Dunson getting press; but we all know this position is in bad shape.
That said, UGa is always a major player for any Jacksonville kids. And while NIL rules make it much more lucrative for a Florida kid to go to Miami, I think we all can anticipate actions by certain schools to maintain the advantage.

Agree with your last point especially, Shadow. Singletary would be amazing obviously, but a luxury at this point and would just be us flexing our muscle. The 3 we already have all have NFL potential.

Rumph was probably a decent coach but his recruiting record was abysmal.
I’ll be somewhat surprised if Singletary ends up at Miami given every program is chasing him.
Or any of the 4 lol…I actually think Rumph is a cool cat, pretty good guy, and a decent coach (notice I said decent not SPECTACULAR)…But man it was hard to recruit that position any worse than he did. Hack job. Missing on top targets one thing…Not making your mind up or organizing backup plans in an area of the country literally FILLED with them is inexcusable.

Exactly! Is that insane or what? I’d give Singletary the nod if I really had to…But this class is excellent.

Just wasn’t a good fit as DB coach at his alma mater…
hate to be that guy but Singletary, along with Ewers, Domani Jackson, and Bear Alexander, were the 5 stars whose films i checked out and thought they were a bit overhyped.
