Reports saying that Rhett Lashlee will be the top candidate for the SMU head coaching job if Sonny Dykes heads to TCU.
Maybe Miami can find an OC who runs a modern spread and who also doesn’t stubbornly insist on running a 190 pound back up the middle over and over again for no gain.
If SMU is going to hire an OC, why not their current OC, Garret Riley. Lincoln Riley’s younger brother? Not really seeing why they would want Lashlee as their HC.
Lashlee’s okay, I’ve never been all that impressed with him.
Lashley has been the best OC in the last fifteen years. I’d rather have Lashley running the whole operation than Diaz.
I’ve never gotten over Miami not hiring Leach, not once, but three times.
My vote for the Heisman Trophy would go to Will Rogers, Mike Leach’s QB at Miss State who came out of nowhere to become a great college QB.

I like Lashlee and hope he stays. This offense is the best Miami has seen since Japicky “I’ll throw it 45 yards down the field late” Harris.
I can’t believe I am about to say this, but Storm is right - it is no coincidence that TVD is doing so well.
Are there things Lashlee can do better? Absolutely. There is no consistent running game,3rd/4th and shorts are abysmal. Redzone offense needs some work. However, overall, Miami’s offense is not the problem.

13 in passing offense overall
I will take those numbers most years ESPECIALLY when there is a FR QB running the show and playing 3 top 25 defenses.

Yeah, you must be his agent or something. Continuing to bring it up doesn’t bring him here. It’s like not getting over Terry Porter. Lord, just let it go. It only affects you by dwelling on it and it changes nothing.
