While official times weren’t released, NFL Network reported that Restrepo ran an unofficial 4.83 seconds in his 40-yard dash on Monday, a surprisingly slow time for a wide receiver.
Restrepo said Tuesday in a post on his personal X (formerly Twitter) account that his right hamstring tightened up during warmups before running the 40-yard dash, which “prohibited me to opening up and running my fastest.” He went on to say that he had been consistently running between 4.53 and 4.58 seconds for two weeks before Pro Day “and thought I could still pull it off.”
Not the greatest lol. Cost himself some decent money most likely.
I am far from an expert in these matters. Just a fan.
Restrepo strikes me as 4th or 5th round pick. Someone will pick him based on proven production. There are folks who don’t just go by the measurables and numbers. I think.
He will be a decent cog with a defined role for enough time to bank nice coin unless he is wet between the ears.
X is a player. Not a burner, but good 4.6-ish speed. A clutch player and play maker who doesn’t drop anything and rarely fumbles. Can find his way open. Not a flake, not a problem child, works hard, an overachiever. The kind of player every coach loves and every team needs.
The team that drafts him in Round 4-6? will be getting a bargain IMHO.
