Starting this here on 6/4…Talent the definite #1 factor, then need and importance of the position (with a small dose of local pipelines as more of a tie-breaker than anything)…Trying to stay away from extreme long shots (J.Lott, J.Kruel, etc) and kids will be taken down from this list if it appears they are entering that category.
Safety and LB are the question marks right now…A couple kids that were expected to UM or that we would at least go 1-2 D.Jackson and B.Stewart are now looking really iffy but we do have time with them.
DL is a work in progress but I have faith in JT and the names being mentioned and leaning to UM are quality.
Board got beat up pretty good…Updated with the some new names…And took down a bunch of others who committed elsewhere. The top 6 are hanging by a thread and will be VERY tough flips, but there’s a couple in there I believe CMC will fight to the end and maybe get live with a big season on the field.
Not sure if every new offer is commitable at the moment.

Ya he committed long ago…. About 6 weeks ago maybe longer many were predicting he’d flip to UNC. The re-classify hasn’t been a secret a while but was finally made official, so I moved him to this year’s commit list a couple weeks ago, and now there is a good chance he will end at UM but not entirely a done deal (although it sounds like UNC is officially out of the picture with the mess they have there, but other schools are on him, he is a stud)
Don’t know why but started to think where’s the transfer portal commitment list. As in the portal’s not even open but someone should be building a list anyway.
Any sense if Miami is interested in any of the Penn State recruits? I am SURE they would not be back channeling to current players. That would be just wrong.
I guess same question for schools like UCLA, Virginia Tech, Arkansas, et. al. Probably a lot of recruits which to date UM has showed no interest in. But now the coaching staff has a much better idea of what their class is looking like. Doesn’t Penn State have two very good OL recruits?
They are communicating with the DT from Delaware, I added him to the other threads… We should know in the coming weeks whether the offer is commitable or not. RB Messiah Mickens has mentioned being in contact with UM as well. But the DT talk seems further along. I believe one of the safety commits has lightly mentioned UM, still committed PSU I believe.
Both players are still technically committed.
Top 50 2027 RB Kemon Spell recently de-committed and has UM in his top 5, he is from Mckeesport, PA which is somewhat near me.
Actually @rationalcane …. a kid that just de-committed today, a LB says he’s been in constant contact with Hetherman. Mathieu Lamah from VA…I’ll add him, tape looks good. Big kid in the Toure mold.
The names that stand out or have been mentioned (The top 3 are listed above for weeks):
-WR Marquez Daniel (I think he may be behind on others on our wish list, but I may be wrong…We’ve recruited him all along and he visited for a game or 2 this season)
-TE/OL Heze Kent chose UF over UM, but supposedly still in contact., and the consensus seemss to be UM would take him today. He’s convinced he’s a TE.. He may be used that way in a blocking set or two early in his career, but long-term he’s not a TE
UM has been rumored to still be recruiting DE KJ Ford behind the scenes…That would be welcome, but he did get suspended for punching a kid this season.
Recruits we were mentioned with early in the process were:
DB Hester- ehhh doubt it…I kinda like the kid, but others were ahead.
CB Bronaugh- wouldn’t mind this at all, but just seemed to not be interested in UM, doubt it
S Hall- No idea
OL Luckas/Carr/Campbell- Doubt it…we had them as backup plans. Campbell would probably have the best shot at UM being interested
DT Guervil- Just seemed to not be interested in UM at all despite UM interest…Injured senior year
I wouldn’t be shocked if we check in on RB Baker, but haven’t heard it.
