I’m only using this as a point of illustration. It simply shows that people don’t like Trump as much as he would like to believe himself.
And he does himself no favors…The man is a fucking idiot. Like the whole entire right (in a different manner, as there losing point is abortion)
Hell, I don’t like Trump…I just vote against leftist delusion and the clear cut push towards communism
Trump should win the coming election, however, the specter of fraud still overhangs elections in battleground states. There are illegal aliens on voting rolls in many states since signing up for voting is simultaneously done when applying for state benefits and licenses.
You cannot have an honest election when you have massive numbers of mail-in ballots and weeks of voting days. Both the validity and reliability of mail-in balloting has been shown to be questionable wherever it has been employed.
Logic compels me to think Americans are smart enough to avoid allowing their homeland to become a third world hell hole and will elect Donald Trump over the previously, most disliked VP in recent history. Truly, however, the reinvention of Kamala Harris by MSM and Democrats is quite remarkable. Why would people vote themselves into communism?
Based on what though? If you are basing it on the debate last night, that won’t do it. If Biden were still in, I’d be inclined to agree with you. Now, I’m not so sure.
Canesfan. My opinion is not based on the debate where Kamala outperformed expectations, was well-rehearsed, and clearly won the contest. Trump wins the election, because the two most important issues, the border and inflation, are owned by Trump. Many Americans are hurting and without decretionary monies to purchase consumer items much less food, fuel, and housing.
This is not true at all. A debate is a 1v1 matchup. She is being directly compared to Trump, not Biden.
So if you’re saying that Trump is a bad debater and it was a low bar for Harris, that’s fine. That’s probably true. She was sharp out there and sometimes sent daggers his way.
Absolutely agree.
Trump: “America sucks. Fear. Fear. Fear. I can Make America Great Again Again.”
Harris: “America is great. Joy. Hope. Joy. I will keep America strong.”
Those are the 2 strategies at play, no doubt about it, with a healthy dose of “The other candidate will ruin everything.”
I missed the beginning of the debate, so I may have missed something, BUT from my perception the moderators allowed Trump to get the LAST WORD on EVERY SINGLE TALKING POINT. I never saw Trump cut off, but I did see them cut off Harris the one time she said she wanted to reply. So I personally don’t buy that the moderators were unfair.
I mean, you’ve been extremely confident and you just admitted it was 50/50.
I’ve been trying to tell you, sure, lots of American think the economy is bad, but lots think it’s better now. I’ve been trying to get this 50/50 mentality into you in several threads, yet you’ve constantly made extremely optimistic/confident takes.
I don’t think you get to slam anyone else’s optimism.
By the way, I agree with skeeter, 80 is saying some really good stuff in this thread.
Did they ever correct Harris when she lied, or have a response ready to retort anything she said? What about when they tried the gotcha question on Trump with Jan 6 or with his comment that he barely lost.
When he said he was sarcastic the moderator said are you sure that was your tone or something like that. How is it his place to say that kind of thing.
It was anything but impartial. I thought CNN was way more down the middle with the debate.
I guess that’s your interpretation of my posts but I’ve never said that Trump is way ahead of Kamala.
I’ve said she’s a terrible candidate and people hate her just like they hate Trump.
I still believe there are enough people that still think prices are way too high and she isn’t connecting with the middle class that he can win but it’s unfortunately a toss up at this point.
What I did think is that if they didn’t kick Joe to the curb he was going to get demolished.
First cite an example of her lying please.
What about the gotcha question of Harris flip flopping?
Debate moderators are supposed to ask tough questions that the opponent wants asked. Did they ask Harris about border problems? Did they ask Trump about his black comments?
These questions are EXPECTED, NOT SURPRISES. The point is for the candidates to give a prepared answer in their defense of a criticism.
That is not being unfair, and I’m surprised to see crybabies whining about normal debate procedure.
You don’t interrupt. There was nothing normal about the moderators. They were in the tank for Harris.
It doesn’t excuse Trump. He should have been ready for it. But it’s stil obvious.
Fair enough. I think sometimes people will make declarative statements that sound more confident than they actually are. I think most of us in here, when pressed, would say the election will be fairly close, 50/50 to 45/55 at most. It really is anyone’s game.
They didn’t question her on the Charlottesville hoax and lie. They didn’t challenge her on the bloodbath comment.
Both out of context and have been discussed on here.
They could have at least jumped in and clarified but they let her go.
I will 100% agree with you on the bloodbath remark. Not only was it a cheap shot, but it has been so thoroughly debunked already, it would have been nice if the moderators were on top of that one.
I’m not sure what you mean about Charlottesville.
For anyone curious, here are a bunch of fact checks regarding the debate:
For whatever this is worth. I do think that Kamala’s dominant performance is being overblown. Maybe a disconnect with the pundit class and the general public.
I am not surprised by this. He stated that he was treated very unfairly. Has there ever been a situation to where he has said he was treated fairly ever?
Probably a good thing for all of us.
The borders the issue, but Trump killed an OFFICIAL bi partisan deal with his connections. Trump is going to be destroyed when the vote drops. He’s so detached from reality and is off the rails…NORMAL citizens will NEVER vote for that loon.
It’s not like Harris said anything…She simply did a better job of keeping her cool than unhinged Trump.
