UNC, Pitt, FSU and Duke are the road games.
6-6 or 5-7, possibly worse, 4-8 or 3-9 seem possible.
Haven’t watched a down so far this season. If I’m smart, I’ll stay the course.
Can’t score and can’t stop other teams from scoring doesn’t seem like a winning formula.

the question is…is that enough to fire diaz? if oregon finishes strong i think we should go after cristobal hard. the way he recruits is exactly what we need (big OL and big athletes on D)
I don’t see this team turning around. I thought maybe a 9 win season and Diaz keeps his job til next year. It’s honestly looking like a 5 win season now. I think he and Blake James are done in December.
It would be worth it provided they hire people with a clue.
When’s the last time they made the right hire though?
So instead of talking about coaches, who are the AD’s UM should actually be looking at to make the next hire? I ask because I have no idea how an athletic department or if it’s the school president, how they make that decision of who to bring in for interviews. It seems like another realm where we don’t usually get it right though, doesn’t it?
ever since butch built miami back up, our BOT hired:
Coker - a coach with no previous HC experience
Shannon - a coach with no previous HC experience. could’ve hired Gary Patterson instead
Golden - so after two terrible hires, they go to Temple. TEMPLE to lead miami back to relevance. could’ve hired Dan Mullen instead, but no his ‘ego’ was too big for the BOT.
Richt - a head coach who was just fired from his previous job for…you know…not being good enough. yeah let’s hire that guy. Lane Kiffin was available and was doing a great job under Saban at the time.
Diaz - a guy with zero HC experience. didn’t even interview anybody.
i wouldn’t blame anyone who thinks that miami leadership is not capable of making a proper hire, let alone a home run.
6 wins, nothing has gotten better in 3 years…Hell in 18 years actually.

2 wins would be a disaster of epic proportions. If we can eek out a win against AppSt, I think we can take down GT, FSU, and Duke as well.
Key question: if a Miami team wins and nobody is there to see it, did they really win?

Honestly - and I’m only half joking - sign him to a lifetime extension. It’s not like we’ll decide to hire anyone worth it. They’ll just continue the mediocrity.
I see us winning 5 or 6 games. We will lose an egregious one to FSU, because it is really the only game that will count, and we’ll relive unfortunately the debacle we suffered at FIU. No team can punish its fans like the Hurricanes.
We should have hired Leach. Three times we turned him away. He would have fit like a glove with Miami. Miami is a flamboyant place.
We can’t hire Mario… Look for a guy tearing it up in the small school league. We’ll get a bargain coach who has a history of kicking ass, just smaller asses.
