Nothing worse than the recurrent blame spread by liberals about racism in America. Black people have flourished in the U.S. to a greater extent than any nation on earth. This is easily seen when comparing the distribution of slave brought to the New World. 450 thousand African slaves were brought to the U.S. Double that number were brought to Jamaica. Presently, there are approximately 47 million African-Americans while there are only 3 million Jamaicans. BTW, Kingston is the largest English Speaking city in North America south of Miami.
While no doubt slavery is an abysmal maltreatment of any human, slaves were not all subjected to maltreatment since they were undoubtedly a valuable commodity. In spite of the hardship suffered by African-Americans’ ancestors, like other persecuted people of all ethnic backgrounds who came to America, blacks are among the most fortunate to be Americans. Had their families remained in Africa, the Caribbean, or Latin America, they’d find themselves considerably more disadvantaged.
The color of murder in America is black, and making this statement should not be accompanied by a fecal storm of charges of racism. Would it be more proper or politically correct to shut up, ignore it, pray about it, or to do something about it.
My next door neighbor is a retired federal magistrate. He’s an African-American whose father was Jamaican. His wife, a former math teacher, is a mixture of Caucasian and Native-American who identifies as white. They live in my neighborhood for the same reason I do. It’s not only a beautiful place, but it is safe. They have one daughter who is a local physician. Huge MAGA supporters, my neighbors lament the behavior of ghettoized blacks in America and the incompetent Democrat governance in big cities. They believe Trump was the best president for all the people in their lifetimes. They happen to be right.
This is a fair statement, unfortunately. And like Bikki says…Screaming racist at everyone from a new angle and for a new reason everyday…does nothing to solve it imo
