I tend to side with Skeeter. A lot of people are sick of Trump.
People also vote against their self interests (see the election this year).
The Dems just rout the Republicans when it comes to mobilization. They destroy them.
And even though the impact of Roe was way overblown, the Left has convinced women that they can’t have abortions at all and the Right is going to send them to prison if they do.
The Right dropped the ball on the abortion messaging big time.
If the republicans did not go after abortion they control the house and senate. It was the single dumbest thing they could have done. You can’t go well we are the party of less government and then make one of the biggest rulings in over 50 years that take away a right.
Abortion should be a personal choice. You may be against it morally but that does not make it a decision that should be cast upon everyone. It’s a moral decision based on religion. Religion has no place in politics.
I think you are missing my point. I’m not saying the impact of the decision was minimal. I’m saying the real life impacts to women in this country wasn’t that big of a deal.
In fact, since the decision many states Expanded abortion rights. Women in many states have greater access to abortion now than before!
You are coming to the conclusion incorrectly, an remarkably childishly. The pattern is you lose elections. People don’t like you. You stand for atrocious things and flood your admiration towards the most filthy, vile and dishonest people around and then wonder why you’re not liked.
You simply haven’t the integrity to accept basic reality that you’re views and political champions are unpopular and people think they, and you, are vile and disgusting and immoral and serve our enemies of both the country, but basic virtues and mores we accept together…as a group…as a country…outside of you.
All I’ve seen recently are states that are codifying abortion in their state constitutions. For all the hand wringing over a nation wide abortion ban etc. there haven’t been too many states that have passed extremely strict laws.
Let’s take a look at all the state by state changes and see where the lack of abortion options now reside.
It goes back to the states and the people decide. And it a lot of states people have voted that they want abortion. So there it is.
Don’t worry, big guy you can have your girlfriend kill her baby. You’re safe in Texas dude.
Warden, I’ve said it a few times on here and you keep pounding that scoreboard. I’m fine losing elections or knowing that I’m in the minority if it means I choose the moral side of an issue.
Politics isn’t everything….unless you are a Democrat.
