Secondly, you need to check your state laws and again, this is a global report so more than the states as well. Statutory rape laws does not require evidence or force or coercion; and depending on the state, age of consent starts at 16, 17, 18, etc. When two minors engage in sexual activity with each other, they are both open to statutory rape laws. Having sex with someone under the age of consent, regardless if you are also under the same age, allows for statutory rape charges.
