I want you and SO to be specific and not general.
Explain it, in details, wtf you are talking about. Let’s hear it numbnutz.

I mean, does anyone like it as a starting point? You’re gonna put this on me?
I read/heard that Ukraine captured some military vehicles and compromised Russia’s IFF system (Identify, Friend or Foe). Basically, Russia is being really careful otherwise their air force could start shooting each other down. Just one more theory…
Biden did it. Wow.
Big balls joe
What a leader!!!
UK too, though theirs will phase out by the end of the year. I wonder how immediate ours will be?
All these sanctions are spelling the end of the Russian economy. It could very well be the end of Russia as we know it.
I have to say, I can’t remember a good parallel in history where there has been an economic war waged like this one.
A large portion of the world is standing up to an empire builder by completely cutting them off. I don’t know if there’s precedent so it’s hard to say what will happen. Will it be debilitating or merely annoying? Will Russia be able to shrug it off after years of austerity and come out stronger for it, or will they collapse and be forced to fall in line?
This is… Globalism used as a weapon.
Your chart shows 11/26. Election night was 11/08. How was that “election night”?
The point is that GSC’s chart is fudging dates to create a narrative. If you properly line it up with Biden’s inauguration, everyone will see gas prices spiked before he took office.
Shocker
I give Biden credit for announcing the US will stop importing Russian oil. Now, we need him to open every possible avenue in the US to produce energy: fracking, remove drilling restrictions, etc.
Regarding your question 305 about a historical example, I would think by providing a quick response the only thing close would be the economic warfare between Britain and France in the 18th century which eventually gave birth to the 7 Years’ War. Granted, significantly different historical and economic contexts, but the aggressive economic confrontations between the 2 global powers have some similarities, particularly with the punitive economic policies driven by mercantilistic policies.
Covid (supply chain issues and medical supplies) and Russia-Putin - I think - should encourage meaningful conversations about our production in various sectors.
China
This is an interesting comparison with a war I don’t know much about. Even in the 18th century, leveraging trade is leveraging trade.
It sounds like there have been talks with Venezuela over the weekend to help compensate, though their output is not nearly enough.
Absolutely agree. Covid revealed a lot of weaknesses and Russia is as well, albeit more for Europe. Current events are very valuable foreshadowing of how the future economic war with China will be waged. We need to get cracking ASAP.
Lol…Thank god we didn’t react with sanity and move on when we should have
We’re talking supply chain sourcing, keeping national security interests in house, etc. Has nothing to do with “moving on.”
All of that did
No, most of that stuff was a problem created over the past 30 years.
