Oregon v. Indiana

In Atlanta,

IU is a 4 point favorite, who do you like?

I think IU will win but I kind of hope they lose because I think Miami has a better chance to win the NC against Oregon.

That said, I lived in Indy and a yute and worked near Bloomington as an adult so I have some fanboy in me for IU. I was a huge IU basketball fan for years. Stopped following sports teams when I got a bit older except Miami because I went to school there and I’m a glutton for punishment.

It’s been a long 20+ years in the desert.

Indiana seems a team of destiny so kind of prefer Oregon to win. Plus good story line vis-a-vis Cristobal. Media would lap that up. Would it be accurate to say Oregon’s offense is closer to Ole Miss than Indiana’s?

I have a gut feeling that Oregon wins the rematch.

I would like Indiana to win…but we stand a better chance against Oregon than Indiana. I just don’t think Mario can outcoach Cignetti…they are almost flawless in execution…us…not so much.

Don’t get me wrong…we have proven we belong…TAMU, OSU and Ole Miss…what a run! Oregon makes mistakes that Indiana doesn’t and since we do tend to shoot ourselves in the foot (see last night) I would rather face Oregon.

Miami: “We sure do fck up and shoot ourselves in the foot a lot.”

Oregon: “Hold my beer.”

Good lord Indiana is picking them apart. Those recievers are going to have a career day against our team.

We better hope our front 4 can get to Mendoza.

I’d like to congratulate the Indiana Hoosiers on their 2025 national football championship.

Holy cow, man! Totally impressed.

OK, I becoming a bit concerned about Miami’s chances against Indiana.

Is it just me, or is anyone else grossed out whenever they show Cignetti talking and he has that wad of gum between his front teeth and the inside of his lip? :face_vomiting:

He looks like a psycho killer on the sidelines.

Let’s not pick on their head coach. I wish the Dolphins would hire him.

Jeebus, it’s a murder.

Moore just stands there like a statue holding the ball all day. Yeeesh.

All week long Moore has been saying this game would be different than their first meeting.

He’s absolutely right. This is worse.

Oregons Defensive line is soft, but I see Oregon running damn well agains’t Indiana until they got down by 300 points.

I LOVE our teams chances IF our secondary can play, but we have so many injuries and a targeting out.

Meanwhile. Texas Tech and James Madison are thinking, let’s not play Indiana! LOL

Elite80 liked Dante Moore; I didn’t. Moore throws a great and accurate pass, but he moves unintelligently in the pocket. Under pressure, he takes deep drops and rarely throws the ball away to prevent loss. I think too he must have small hands. His grip on the ball does not seem firm enough. Indiana really got his number, and Oregon stupidly isn’t speeding up the passing game, having Moore get rid of the ball rapidly. Were I a pro team, I’d pass on Moore

All in all, Miami is more fit against Indiana than Oregon providing we don’t beat ourselves and play a clean game. Miami’s rushing game and short passing game will work against Indiana. We need long drives as we had against Ole Miss, keeping Mendoza on the bench longer.

moore is very talented but he is not ready for the nfl. Indiana really got after him. I will say this mendoza is one of the best quarterbacks ever in college football. If the raiders pass on him their entire scouting department should be fired. Oregon top two backs were out- no run game and Oregon defensively did not impress me after watching james madison score on them with ease

Moore is terrible. Stands like a statue and holds the ball too long. Yeeesh. He’s another JJ McCarthy in my opinion, slow to read, holds the ball, etc.

If our secondary is still hurt plus down a man from targeting, Moten is hurt and needed for the run stopping and we play sloppy again…we are in deep deep shit.
