Is this going to go down as one of the better NFL playoff runs though? Had to go to the Football Team as they were a division winner and the Bucs were a wild card team. They were only 7-9 but did have a nice defensive team. They were a 4 seed. Then they beat Brees, Rodgers and Mahomes - the 2, 1 and 1 seeds to claim it. Three of the four were on the road. The game tonight? Hell, the Football Team played the Bucs better than the Chiefs did. This was a physical beating tonight that the world saw.
Being a Dolphins fan, you can understand my feelings about wanting Brady out of football. Now, I’m just glad he’s not in the AFC East any longer. Can you imagine if he stayed there and got his sought after contract? Suppose they beat Mohomes to get to Tampa and they played Green Bay tonight and the Pats claimed # 7 tonight. I’d be on a ledge right now. Brady won’t retire. Hell, he’s got his team now and he’s got familiarity. Plus he can still throw even at 43 years of age. I’m not sure how that’s possible but he can still throw. At this age, wasn’t George Blanda just a kicker at the end of his career? Face it, we won’t see this ever again. Brady is 18-5 in the playoffs…SINCE HE TURNED 35 YEARS OLD!!! It’s just unreal. Montana has 16 playoff wins. That’s the whole thing - 14 in San Francisco and 2 in KC. Elway and Manning have 14 each. Brady after tonight is 34-11 in postseason play. Again, it won’t be done again. Probably not in our lifetimes. Think Mahomes can win six more? It’s almost laughable. OK, I’m done now. Still pretty wired from the game. Tampa Bay has two super bowl trophies now. Just let that sink in. It’s proof that if you live long enough, you eventually see everything…twice!
Brady is basically the Bill Russell of the NFL. sure, there will be better talents, but you’re not going to see anybody get to 10 SBs and win 7 of them. no chance.
speaking of OL, Tampa’s is really underrated. those guys are massive human beings sheesh
Agree. No OL so Tampa played soft cover two over 85% of the time.
I also think the refs were favoring Tampa.
The touchy calls were bad for a crew that makes it to the Super Bowl. They got to establish what is catchable in the NFL. The pendulum has swung too far to the Offensive side.
Not as bad as the ACC vs Miami but they were bad. Someone had some money on that game.
