Oh, by the way......we didn't win the ACC in football this year!?!?

Sorry if it was posted but I didn’t see this on the board here but the ACC decided this yesterday apparently…

Notre Dame Yes, Miami No

So why do we even have to play all three remaining games, while Clemson and Notre Dame get out of FSU and Wake Forest? Oh…its so they can play each other for the title that day or at least have the week off to play the following week. Hmmm! :frowning:

Typical ACC BS. Clemson doesn’t want to travel to FSU, so they don’t have to. I hope VT plays game of the century and beats those d!cks.

Complete crap. How do you not play and get an ACCCG birth as a result?

So basically, by beating Clemson they hold all the tiebreakers.

Hey leave Ohio State alone! (as of december, only played 4 games with a combined 7-14 opponent record and will likely get a cfp berth).

Edit: take 5-1 IU out of that and their opponent records are 2-13 lol… Even if they play their final 2 games it’s still against pathetic competition (2-3, 2-4). They literally played one team with a winning record all year.

Because they are Notre Dame. You guys don’t get it yet? Have you not seen the treatment we get from the ACC and NCAA?

Listen guys… it is what it is. Just like politicians have a good ole boy network, so do College Football teams.

It’s not changing. It will only get worse.

The only way I can see a Miami program escaping this sort of step child treatment is by hiring a coach or AD that is so respected you wouldn’t be able to pull that ish… but guess what… we’re cheap. Ain’t happnen!

The other way to beat it is to somehow be like Clemson and kick the shit out of everyone most of the time.

Clemson is good because they retain people. Players, coaches, etc.

It helps that they have lots of money.

But I would argue that’s all Swinney… and it sort of makes my point.

If Sweeney goes and they make a couple of consecutive bad hires…

Now pretend they are Miami… it spells doom.

To me - college sports are all about the coach. They make or break the program for a variety of reasons.

The sooner Miami figures this out the better for us.
