The oddmakers have us a 7.5 pt underdog. I believe we get rolled again by North Carolina, and worse, I see it happening the same way. They rush the ball down our throats successfully. Were I to bet, I’d take UNC .
This is a must win game for Manny. Upset wins haven’t happened often for the Canes in recent years. It would be great to have something to cheer about this year. It certainly has been a downer year.
Sam Howell hasn’t performed as expected. Against the Hurricanes, he’ll probably have the game of his life.
Sadly I won’t be watching. I’ll tape it and most likely delete before I end up seeing this. Sad. But I’ve seen enough over the years. I’d rather enjoy the day with my wife and kid than sit and watch this team flounder.
And I tend to think your assessment will prove correct. Unfortunately. CFB is falling further and further out of my life.
My dad is going to the game today. He asked if I wanted to go, but I would rather not watch the blood bath in person.
UNC will run it all day, I am sure. Miami will miss tackles, overrun play, not set the edge… you know - the usual.
I wish UNC wouldn’t have lost to FSU…From both an ambush and a line value standpoint…Could have been getting double digits here and UNC has issues. But even then I would have probably proceeded with caution because I can’t trust Diaz and UM before we even get to the young QB
I think we have a great chance to make our last stand here today though.
I’ll call it 34-30 UNC…Light opinion Canes. No idea and can see us quitting sooner or later, hope I’m wrong.
I’ve had such a good week that I feel like Trump winning and more winning, so I plan on watching the game to return me to normalcy. I would love to see us develop a better rushing game with a two RB backfield, some motion, more screen passes and for heaven sake be more like a Pee Wee football team and throw some slants to a 6’5" target who largely has been worthless this year.
Look for Sam Howell to be mentioned as a Heisman candidate after today’s game. By then end of the first half, I have some Leave it to Beaver re-run tapes in case the beat down is too severe How great it would be to see the Hurricanes sacking the QB; I though Manny’s defense was going to rack up the sacks this year. No doubt about it I was one of the idiots predicting a ten win season this year owing to so many splendid athletes returning.
I coached HS football one year under the great Carl Madison who won the USA Today High School championship. Carl was a genius at the running game, and his famous saying was two average football players can neutralize even a star if they master double team blocking. Nobody stopped Carl Madison teams from running the football. No matter where he coached, his teams moved the ball on the ground and blasted holes in the defensive lines. Carl also said if you can’t blockem, we sure as hell can foolem. Time and again during his games, defenders were tackling the wrong guy. When was the last time a Miami team fooled a camera man. It was YEARS ago.
