Vaccines don’t bother me. I’m fully vaccinated with the exception of the COVID vaccine.
I’ve also gotten flu vaccine in the past.
I’m anti rushed vaccines created for a man made virus that the science changes on minute by minute, that I have a 99.98 chance of survival.

I don’t think it’s fair to compare this vaccine to those for the measles, mumps etc. As GSC said, those vaccines were not rushed to market and not provided under emergency use authorization. I don’t know the numbers that are legit, but I believe this vaccine has already killed more people than folks dying from all other vaccines in the last 10+ years. Granted, it’s still a small percentage of folks relative to those who have gotten the vaccine.
But with known reactions for young, healthy people and a 99.9% survival rate, it doesn’t seem like a worthwhile proposition to me.

Seeing that all other vaccines having 20 years of public use, I would hope they wouldn’t kill people.
Under 50 is likely 99.99 or better. Over 50 is likely 99.98 or better. Pretty sure it was skeeter who said what the real issue is: hospitalizations. If we aren’t seeing them, we should be open for business with or without vaccines.
What happens when United health or other insurance companies refuse to provide coverage for those unvaccinated? This a real likelihood.

I can’t help but think how has Darwin not grabbed you by now.
Good- it’ll buckle the entire health insurance industry when 40% of the population refuses to get the vaccine and stop paying premiums.
I’m looking forward to a day of insuranceless healthcare. It’ll be beautiful to have the power back in my hands to contract and choose what I want.
This is possible. But I’ve heard a few people who have applied for Life Insurance recently and COVID wasn’t anywhere on the survey. Not a single question about COVID or vaccination status.
If that’s the case, the folks with money at stake may not be that worried. It’s also possible they haven’t updated their policies yet.
Insurance can’t use it until the official approval from what I’ve read. The feds have been footing the bill for medical costs via the Cares act. As those funds end, insurance companies don’t want to pay for shit(GSC clearly knows) so they will require vaccinations.
Gsc- as much as I’d like to see that happen, I don’t believe it will be enough to tip as some will opt to get the vaccine, some will opt to drop insurance, and some already don’t have insurance of the 40%.

For the record, I agree. I hate health insurance and would like to see it sundowned. I don’t think a covid vaccine requirement will kill the industry, however.
