My opinion

Fellas, I have a strong opinion about something. That something is the ‘leak’ in regards to Roe v Wade. I have no proof, but my gut is screaming something was afoot. We have had several discussions on the topic of abortion. Everyone has spoken their minds and remain unmoved from said positions. This thread is not about where you stand, although it’s pertinent to my opinion. I even believe @GardenStateCane would agree with me on this matter. I think the leak was intentional, but not for the most obvious reasons. Why do I think that? I believe it was to serve as a distraction. Abortion always has been and always will be a hot button topic. While we are all outside protesting and arguing, our attention is turned away from what could possibly be the real agenda. I believe that every administration has done something similar in order to slide something by without us noticing until it too late. Again, it’s just my opinion.

Certainly possible, SC. I suppose the question is - what is the distraction from? Inflation? Gas prices? Baby formula? Seems to me there’s plenty of attention in this area.

Something we aren’t looking for. Something that wouldn’t be favorable if attention were drawn to it. Like I said though, it’s just an opinion. Nothing shocks me anymore.

Another conspiracy theory, how original.

I cannot fathom for the life of me how conservatives beat the drum that government can’t and doesn’t work, but subscribes to every conspiracy theory under the sun that would take a monumental cover up effort. I dedicated 15 years of my life to public service working at or with the local, regional, state and federal levels. I worked side by side with conservatives and liberals at each level. It serves as a fairly good check and balance internally.

When you gonna do the public service of shaving that ridiculous goatee though?

You’re basing it on the notion that a left winger or someone in the administration or sympathetic to it leaked the draft. I think a right winger leaked the draft to lock in the decision without any changes.

did you check for monsters under your bed?

No I’m not basing it on that, although that would be a theory for some. I’m basing on the fact that regardless of which side of the discussion you are on, the debates get hot and heavy and while the attention is on this, something else goes by unnoticed.

I think a right winger hard-line player leaked it to keep it from being changed. Once it’s public, they can’t back down and change the wording.

I wouldn’t argue against this either.

I do find it interesting the candidates now admitting to the next step in their plans after abortion…contraception, same sex marriage, and down the list.
