There seems to be smoke…
With King likely done for the year, I can’t see Manny making it to '22 unless Garcia/TVD light up the scoreboard and the D turns the corner. I do think Manny can survive based on buyouts. Jan '22 buyouts change by millions. Manny’s drops to around $5-7M from what I’ve heard. I have to wonder if Mario signs a new deal with Oregon soon or if Oregon wants to wait until the end of the year to see if he wins the Pac, Makes the CFP etc.
Mario is clearly the #1 call.
We are only in week 4 so I can’t see Miami’s BOT firing James or Manny until after UNC. 4-2 and what is the point. 2-4 and clearly James/Manny seats will be burning hot.
This article’s just a regurgitation of what someone else posted a few days ago. Despite the clickbaity headline, the overall conclusion is that Miami has money issues and won’t be doing anything with Manny for a while. Even worse, Miami leadership isn’t too concerned about sports. Reading the whole thing is a gut punch.
The comment section of this article is absolutely worth reading.
Not sure if any of you caught Game Day, but they were piling on the program. Said Frenk didn’t care about sports and there were deep issues in the athletic program and not just in football. A lot of what has already been said here.
