“Cases of polio in the UK fell dramatically when routine vaccination was introduced in the mid-1950s.” Polio - NHS
“While the history of polio control in the United States or in several European countries is overwhelmingly well-documented, very few studies have focused on the case of France, where Pierre Lépine developed an inactivated virus vaccine, quite similar to the Salk vaccine. This communication deals with polio control strategies and policies implemented by France from 1955 until 1968.” https://halshs.archives-ouvertes.fr/halshs-03340282
" Following the widespread use of poliovirus vaccine in the mid-1950s, the incidence of poliomyelitis declined rapidly in many industrialized countries.
… Czechoslovakia became the first country in the world to scientifically demonstrate nationwide eradication of poliomyelitis in 1960.

Kindergarten children receive a very early oral polio vaccine in 1960 in East Germany." Polio eradication - Wikipedia
FYI, after searching “europe” i had better luck searching for specific countries. Each country I searched for I found proof of vaccine usage, and I found a couple of bonus countries along the way.
If you could elaborate what that “other doc” was talking about, it might help, but until then I will keep him firmly in the “bullshit” category.
Thanks for the reference. Those charts don’t show polio declining too much in the UK and US until the vaccine’s introduction. Yes, the UK has a steady drop, and I’m not saying hygiene didn’t play a part. In the US polio was sharply increasing before the vaccine introduction.
Poliovirus is usually spread from person to person through infected fecal matter entering the mouth.[1] It may also be spread by food or water containing human feces and less commonly from infected saliva.
It’s easy to give vaccines credit for shit that we solved in other ways.
Same with Corona….
They said vaccines were preventing transmission and infection— they were getting results off season.
Social media has destroyed the cult of scientism. People are waking up. We have resources to research and communicate past the ABC stations and the main newspapers.
It’s why fact checking and social media are teaming up.
If they control the information and our minds they don’t have to resort to gulags and camps.
From W. James, Immunisation: Reality Behind the Myth 1988 : "An even more interesting abuse of statistics becomes apparent when perusing polio statistics . The diagnostic criteria and reporting procedures for the disease changed. In the 1950s, the sophisticated virological techniques of today did not exist. And the technology that existed was rarely available to practicing physicians. Therefore, most diagnoses were based upon clinical observation, not sophisticated virological studies. Since polio was epidemic, most physicians were cavalier in making a diagnosis of “non-paralytic poliomyelitis” in children presenting with vague symptoms of muscle aches, malaise, and fever. Since polio was “going around”, such children must have had polio. Today, they might be diagnosed as having influenza, again in the absence of laboratory confirmation. And like influenza today, most cases of polio were self-limited. The cases progressing to the paralytic form got the publicity. Interestingly, as the number of polio cases decreased, the number of meningitis cases increased. Consider these figures from the Los Angeles County Health Index: Morbidity and Mortality, Reportable Diseases …
Yeah, and the results “off season” had mostly unvaxxed people in ICUs for some reason. Weird.
This is the good part. the bad part is, unfortunately, that most people only have the patience to click “share” on the latest facebook meme that stirs their outrage.
Well not now since we currently DO have the “sophisticated virological techniques of today.”
But there are some interesting facets to that paragraph. And some truth there as well as parallels with today.
The majority of people who are infected with the virus don’t get sick and aren’t aware they’ve been infected.
…
[Nonparalytic polio] usually causes the same mild, flu-like signs and symptoms typical of other viral illnesses.
So if you’re arguing that polio was in some cases misdiagnosed, you’d probably be right. I don’t think any of that negates the worth of the polio vaccine, though.
Lindell has collected mountains of evidence related to the stolen election. In addition, he has organized symposiums where the evidence is presented to interested citizens. So profound and convincing is Lindell’s batch of evidence that one State Representative Ann Copp of New Hampshire felt compelled to resign her elected position saying that says she just couldn’t pretend to be a patriot while serving in government any longer…. She couldn’t continue working in a profession sullied by the massive fraud of a stolen election, and even worse the subsequent orchestrated cover up concealing and obstructing judicial scrutiny of the crime. Lindell no doubt is a patriot.
People, like you, should pick up books especially pertaining to philosophy. Kuhn, Feyerabend, or Wittgenstein would be good places to start. As well as studying the transition from positivism to post positivism. The stretch from modernity to post, foundationalism to anti, or structuralism to post. The linguistic turn.
Science has been chewed up, spit out, picked up, swallowed again, shit out, buried, grown into a leaf, eaten, spit up again, recalibrated, torn apart, twisted, you name it.
It certainly isn’t being challenged by your 13 year old girl tik toks. At least not in any way that it hasn’t already been challenged a thousand times over again.
