It’s kind of embarrassing I need to make this post, actually, but for the local Moon landing deniers, I read a really good comment online debunking the conspiracy, and I haven’t seen the argument made quite this way before. You should read it.

400,000 people worked on the hardware and procedures that got these guys to the Moon. Do you know what it would take for 400,000 people to keep a secret for over 60 years? Hundreds of them watched 33 Apollo astronauts board the Command Module sitting atop 11 Saturn V before they were launched into space by the gigantic rocket, lifting-off in front of thousands of witnesses every time.
Multiple countries locked onto their radio signals, including America’s enemy the USSR and Australia on the other side of the planet. It took a giant dish antenna in Australia to be able to communicate with the Apollo astronauts when the Moon was over the other side of the Earth.
Why would they have designed and built all this working hardware (which can still be examined today in museums and through technical drawings, I even own some spare parts for the Command Module and the Lunar Module) only to use it on a soundstage?
There are thousands upon thousands of highly detailed pictures (they were shot on huge 70mm film with Hasselblad cameras) available digitally in high definition (they were scanned again recently using great scanners) and hours of video (about 10 hours on 16mm film and countless hours on TV cameras) from the Apollo missions. Apollo 17 alone spent over 22 hours driving and working on the surface, driving 35.7 kilometers in the Lunar Rover. That would be a mighty big soundstage and they would have had to build a different one for each mission since the landscape was different every time.
Thousands of high definition pictures, hours of video and not a single mistake found since Apollo 8’s flight around the Moon in 1968? Every single picture the Apollo missions took from orbit shows the correct features of the Moon by the way. Unless you want to believe that every earlier or subsequent mission to the Moon by NASA, CCCP, ESA, JAXA, CNSA and ISRO copied NASA’s fake landscapes so that the topography would match?
Probes sent to the Moon by NASA and India’s ISRO have taken pictures of Apollo landing sites that clearly show the Lunar Module Descent Stage as well as the paths dug into the top layer of regolith by the boots of the astronauts.
Also, who installed the 5 American laser reflectors that have been used since 1969 and for decades to measure the distance to the Moon?
Can you tell me who returned the carefully-chosen 382 kilograms of rocks and dust from the surface of the Moon, which have been studied by thousands of researchers since 1969? Do they just happen to match the chemical composition of Lunar meteorites and of the tiny samples returned by Soviet probes by chance? The Soviets were only able to retrieve a few grams of Lunar material with their automatic probes.
Then there’s the fact that it would’ve been practically impossible to imitate the way light behaves on the Moon with artificial lighting on Earth. The year of the first landing was 1969, CGI didn’t exist then.
Some other comments:
One more for your list, possibly the most impactful. The Soviets never said it was fake, which they absolutely would have done.
They were listening to the radio signals coming from the moon too. If there were no signals to listen to, it beggars belief that they would play along with this massive western victory.
Not to mention, the Soviets had Luna 15 literally orbiting overhead during the Apollo 11 mission. If it had been bogus, the Reds would have been all over it.
