Can’t complain about the news lately. We always said, to recruit well you need to win first. We did our job on the field and are now reaping the rewards.
I don’t know how Mario did it but it seems like it’s finally Miami’s time.
Great recruiting. We snatched Jatori away from Bama and Auburn. Jatori may well be the best offensive guard in the country. I just watched his basketball clip where he dribbled the length the floor, mowing down a defender before laying the ball in the hoop. His 345 lbs were really moving fast, and he looked rather nimble for a Jurassic specimen. And, Randle. The kid is an athletic freak who played safety, WR, and even QB. In his clip, Randle pursues a running back breaking free down the field, outrunning him, tackling him before he can cross the goal line. In addition, we got local edge Jayvon Dawson, 6’4”, 220 lb. The kid is just 16 and has had a lifetime love affair with the Miami Hurricanes. His HS stats remind me of Reuben’s. How does a kid notch 68 tackles in one season playing edge. 22 of the tackles were tackles for loss. This kid looks to me like a young Greg Rousseau. To hell with Matthews, Mario is reeling them in.
It’s a fun time to follow Miami recruiting. I can’t ever remember anything like the stretch we are on over the last few years. There were some isolated top classes in the early 2000’s but nothing sustained. And that was about the time the SEC came into Sfla and stole a lot of the top players.

From what I see a lot of top kids coming to UM this weekend. Perhaps a commitment or two will come of it.

Huge weekend. Might be the biggest one of the year in terms of top names visiting.
Crazy to even think of it that way as each “event” has had this type of hype and yet they all seem to be “that big”. Mario is no joke on the trail. Sheesh. Long may it last and hope it’s a good weekend.
