The great Christopher Hitchens once commented on Mike’s thesis. Warden is always talking about academic excellence. Michelle Obama was the typical beneficiary of Affirmative Action and took the place of a more talented student of a less preferable race who was refused admission in spite of superior talent. In spite of affirmative action being wholly unconstitutional.

As I recall, Hitchens was going on and on about Reverend Wright, Farrakhan and the sympathies Michelle had to people like Stokley Carmichael. He also veered right after 9/11, supporting the Iraq invasion (which proved to be a 100% disaster and I personally marched in the streets against it), and supported GW Bush twice (which, again, proved disastrously wrong).
But, though I don’t agree with everything Hitchens believed, he was always fun. I enjoyed him very much. In particular, I appreciated his anti-theist ideology, believing all religions to be false, support for same sex marriage, gun rights, opposing the war on drugs, etc. Though, I disagreed with his thought that a fetus deserves person hood, he wavered back and forth on the overall issue.
All that being said, once again you show you insecure you personally by such a dignified and classy couple, a successful President, who are black. Again, you’ve boiled your entire lifetime down to being a simple, lonely bigot yapping like a hen in a shithole state.
Hitchens was always entertaining and a literary craftsman. Your paragraph appraising Hitchens’s point of view agrees almost to the letter with my own.
Obama was a lousy president; his foreign policy was exceedingly poor. To his credit, Obama was a good speaker and projected an incredible aura of likeability. Americans suffering from racial guilt (like you Warden) were quick to embrace Obama, and MSM successfully hid his past. Now his perverse life style is leaking out.
In some ways, you are bright Warden, and I would miss you were you to abandon this forum. Your biggest misapprehension is in regard to Russia and the Ukrainian conflict. This proxy war is the epitome of evil and the price being paid for the evil is visited upon the Ukrainian people especially its young males–they pay in blood. How foolish, even immoral, it is to send billions of dollars to perpetuate a war that cannot be won by Ukraine. Do some research, and I feel confidant that your sentiment about the conflict will change.

Like Warden, he’s off base appraising Russia and Ukraine, but he’s another bright guy, absolutely Californiaized, and has a wide range of interests and an adept writer. I can’t blame him for loving California. I lived there five years in Burlingame on the peninsula just south of San Francisco. Without doubt there’s no prettier state IMO than California. Its high taxes precludes me from living there.
