Before Mario left to Alabama, He called me up and asked me to come down and meet al golden. I believe the following week he went and interviewed at bama. He told me that bama was just different. I think he felt that for him to be successful that a move to bama and coach under saban was a must. Their program was light years ahead of miami. After that he had a plan….he has now brought that plan to miami and the reward was tonight.

weird to hear Galloway actually saying good things about Miami.. odd

This was a historical win that we’ll remember for years to come. We played three tough opponents and prevailed. I still cannot believe that we didn’t stick to the run game when we were gashing the hell out of them in the first half. We should have gone into half-time up three touchdowns. Ole Miss couldn’t stop either Fletcher or Brown as the offensive line leaned on Ole Miss.

I believe the technical term is “mutual handsi-ness.”

Well damn. It’s been a long time since I felt like this.

Been on m-h a long time. Life has brought me to Phoenix where I have a beautiful wife and 9 month old boy. Haven’t been to a Miami game since 2018 in Dallas and before that Clemson in 2017 at the ACCCG. Sucks to have two experiences like that.

Have watched every game this year. Been into it. Bought the boy Miami gear after the ND win. Decided to go to the game yesterday. Was weirdly emotional having not been to a football game for 7+ year. Almost cried during the national anthem and team coming out. Just me and the wife in a sea of Canes fans. What an experience.

The refs tried to fuck us. Not a single damn hold call. Couldn’t catch a pick to save our lives.

Never had a doubt the whole 4th quarter. That D couldn’t stop us. The TD Toney had in the 4th Q was unreal.

Amazing night.

Now do Malachi Toney’s “out of bounds catch.”

Sure looks like he got his toe down to me.

The bad calls generally even out.

Frankly, the game should not have even been close.

Miami better clean up the stupid penalty slop are they will lose next week.

I am not one to get on the refs for bad calls but Miami sure gets more of them than most teams. I feel the Florida teams in general get really bad calls against them. Watching the SMU game the non call on the obvious PI on Miami’s receiver and the late hit call on Miami’s DE was awful. Miami wins the game and has one loss on the season. The worst call and I believe it came against Pitt was the play where an offensive lineman was called for helping out another player by pushing them into the end-zone. It is never called but was against UM.

Ole Miss was holding Miami’s defensive ends all night. I felt the TE hold could have had an illegal use of the hands to the face on the defender.

Couldn’t agree more

This game should have been a blowout. The interceptions alone would have put this game away.

Does that make up for the 6 straight we lost going back to 2019?

No, we would have to win the natty.

Penalties hurt us. The worst way to lose is to defeat oneself. Dawson’s play calling during the first half was abysmal. Good research Madstork on Mali’s catch; I wondered why the officials didn’t run a frame by frame on the position of his foot. It certainly was an inbounds splendid catch.

The non-call by the refs on the last play was however a shrewd decision. IMO, there was evidence of illegal contact on both offense and defense. The refs made the RIGHT decision. It must be born in mind that we experienced first-hand referee tyranny favoring Penn State and Ohio State that cost us two national championships. I still really hate Ohio State even though we just beat them.

Beck played a good game. His interception was due to a tipped pass. Beck has been more successful throwing to the sidelines all year than down the middle. Hitch passes to RBs I consider rushes. What was incredible about the game was that everyone watching, except perhaps Shannon Dawson, knew that the Canes should have just played smash mouth during the first half. I nearly lost my mind last night watching outright stupidity. Ergo, I think it’s time to fire Dawson both for being strategically clueless and forcing me to drink too much alcohol when watching games.

Between the 8,000 yards in penalties, 4 dropped interceptions and Dawson calling 4 dumb ass plays that make ZERO sense in each situation…I aged many years last night.
