All day long, I watched the clock in roused expectation of tonight’s contest. I didn’t prepare any bread pudding as I did prior to the last game, but I did partake of one of its essential ingredients–Maker’s Mark. I like what is known as a wheated bourbon, and Maker’s Mark was created from the Pappy VanWinkle brand of bourbon. I have matched the bourbon with some San Cristobal (no relation to our Cristobal) Elegancia cigars which I consider one of the best ten dollar cigars widely available. San Cristobal cigars have I think the most beautiful cigar rings although I never leave the ring on a cigar when I smoke it. I learned this smoking cigars in London where retaining the cigar ring is perceived as a sign of pretentiousness. At any rate, I am prepared for the game.

It would be GREAT if Miami can win this game.
No one thought after the losses to Lville and SMU that Miami would be in this position.
But, the team has closed strong and seems to be peaking at the right time.
Beck has played well the past 5 games. Much better
Both the defense and offense have played well and Miami beat two very good teams in the playoffs
Hoping for a big win tonight but even if Miami loses, they have overachieved and have a lot to be proud of.
However, we may be doomed because everyone on College Game Day picked Miami.

I had a tension headache but the beer is helping. Going to give it an hour or so before starting the DVR. Don’t need to sit through all the pregame nonsense. They really lean hard on that these days.
