Beck had a Dorsey-like performance tonight. He made excellent decisions. Shannon called a beautiful game. The thing that he did that I’m most glad of is the fact that he didn’t try to force the ball to Toney. Getting everyone involved was the right thing to do. Defense came through when it counted the most. Another great thing about the game, at no point in the game did we trail. We had the lead from wire to wire. Great game!

So very well said. Simply couldn’t agree more. Such game management. Such good decisions on identifying when to tick and go. No forced throws. Just so so steady. So many good throws on key downs. So many shorts runs to keep the momentum and avoid losses. 138 yards but nearly perfect precision. At least one throw should have been caught and one more the wr was tackled for no call.
Great game, Carson. What a job keeping this train running. Well deserved as he’s been somewhat maligned all year or at least seen as not good enough. Keep that chip kid. Keep managing games.
I believe he can do this. Truly believe they have such a shot here. Nothing to lose. Everything to gain. They can and it seems they know it now! Anything can happen, but you have to believe this group can do it under his leadership. Good on him.

Honestly, the TAMU game and THIS game is the most well prepared and coached games that I have seen from Mario and staff. I mean we looked READY! In the CFP we can’t afford to be just a 2nd half team. We have to come out hard each game because none of them are easy. It’s either Ole Miss or Georgia…what a game it would be if we get UGA and Beck has the game of his career!
Beck played with some balls. His legs made the difference in this game. Smart throws. Good leadership.
Oline were a BEAST. Locked in and no stupid penalties.
My only issue with the O is we still seem a bit gun shy to sling it and use our TE’s. BUT when the run game is as good as it is…
My only issue with the D is getting Bain and Mesidor more rest. We need some other DE guys to step up…AND the middle of the field routes still kill us.
