Miami Loses Bowl Game

Who could have seen this coming???

I love holiday traditions; the Christmas tree, my neighbors setting up outdoor lighting displays that can be seen from outer space and Miami losing yet another bowl game.

Didn’t watch it. A meaningless game. Checked the score only to see they were losing pretty badly in the first half. Was glad to see they didn’t get humiliated and made a comeback effort. I thought after the way they totally laid down for UNC and since half the team seemed to be sitting out the game for “personal reasons” that they might get blown out. Was pleased to see they didn’t.

After the UVA game, I didn’t watch any Miami games live. I was so pissed off by the end of that game, which Miami narrowly won, I swore I would never watch another Miami game live again. Since then I have only watched some highlights of the games Miami won on YouTube during the following week. A much better policy and I highly recommend it.

Florida. LOL. I guess Trask isn’t winning the Heisman.

Any word on King? Now you see why kids opt to sit out meaningless bowl games. They are always one play way.

Happy New Year.

Happy New Year Stork.

We’ve seen this movie before, and I’m tired of it.

OSU jumped out 21-0 very early. We got some awful calls and no calls by the refs.

Most frustrating was several passes that hit our receivers right in the chest bounced off for incompletions.

Haven’t heard about King yet, but based on the way he fell my money is an ACL tear.

Kosi played surprisingly well - I was happy to see that. What really pissed me off - and is typical Miami - is we had to go for it on 4th and 9 very late. We threw a fucking screen pass that got maybe 5 yards.

We never saw the ball again.

It’s clear this administration has no interest in getting better. They’re happy with 8-4 and a bowl loss every year. Manny needs to fire Baker - praying he doesn’t take the Al Golden road and remain loyal to this clown.

I’ve resigned myself to exactly that: 8-4 to 9-3 followed by a trip to a shitty bowl game that we lose.

ACL tear on a routine nothing play. Too bad. He tore the meniscus in the same knee in 2018.

I’ll be surprised if he is 100% by September.
Perry is the likely starter now?

Although Perry played very well in the game and the loss was not on him, I hope he isn’t. Good kid and he will always be a Cane, but I hope we see Garcia early.

A couple people have said King will be playing vs Bama…meaning not ACL.

Oh fuck me. I forgot we open with Bama next year. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

That one will be over by the end of the 1st

King will be our starter

Kid has Moxy

Dont ask me what Moxy is but I love the word

Torn ACL like I thought at the time. Sucks. I’d take the Bama loss with any QB and give King another 5 weeks to recover. Hope he has surgery soon.

Huge problem. Elementary.

They teach this in high school. Catch with your arms extended and fingers out. Ball should never get inside your elbows. Absolutely ridiculous.

Coaching…

Some on CIS are saying that Cooney is forcing Manny to play Pope/Wiggins to help keep Dade kids on the field. I don’t buy it as winning trumps playing local kids that aren’t performing. Someone messed up by not giving Smith more chances. If that kid adds 20lbs and stays healthy, he has an NFL opportunity. I also liked Hightower more than Pope/Wiggins even with his lower ceiling.

Wiggins and Pope need to turn the corner this spring or hit the bench for good. Both better get serious about S&C and diet as their talent won’t do it for them. I remember Streeter having some really bad drops in his first few years then had a breakout. That is the only hope at this point.
