ND is the last non-B1G or SEC school left in the CFP… but every cell in my body refuses to entertain any possibility of pulling for those little leprechauns. I wish they could both lose.
At this point, I hope Penn State wins it. But even that left a sour taste in my mouth Blech.
Right there with you. Don’t like ND or Buckeyes. Not sure if I can watch if they end up playing each other in championship game. I would have so many bad thoughts I would have to go to confession or something.
Both QBs look like what used to be acceptable. Very good COLLEGE quarterbacks. Back in tha day that used to be enough to be the BMOC. Now it seems like the QB is a disappointment if they aren’t day one draft picks. I can’t imagine Leonard or Allar being successful in the NFL although many suggest that for the latter. It’s like it isn’t enough to just be enough to lead your team deep into the playoffs.
Dunno. In past generations college QBs with winning records and bowl victories used to never have to pay for dinner in the college town. Seems now they are persona non gratis if they don’t bring home a championship. Kind of sad.
Was rooting for Penn State as agreed that ND is always at the top of the “please lose” list. Not that there’s any love for PSU.
I too was rooting for Penn State which I thought lost the game in the first half by the usual reason–pass happiness. Had Penn State not thrown a single pass in the first half, they’d have gone into half time ahead by three TDs. I am not a Franklin fan. The guys is 1-18 against top ten competition. Additionally, I think Penn State’s QB is over-rated.
While I despise ND, I like Marcus Freeman, and it was good to see DC Al Golden making successful defensive adjustments for the second half. Freeman’s forte is defense, and Notre Dame’s defense has improved under Freeman’s stewardship both as a coordinator and head coach.
Academically, Freeman was a top drawer student. Freeman is widely regarded as an African-American; he’s also an Asian-American. His mother is Korean. All in all, he’s an exemplary young coach, even if he is coaching Notre Dame, not one of my favorites. Watching him on the sideline during a game reveals an enthusiastic guy who really loves the game.
If it’s Ohio State vs ND in the title game, I’m not watching. 
Given ND, OSU and Pedo State were in the final mix, the football Gods are obviously trolling Miami fans.
I hate both teams playing for the NC. I think I’ll do as you do Stork, not watch it, then tune in to the game highlights afterward. I wanted either Arizona State or Boise to be in the big game. NIL and the Portal will guarantee that the Deep Pocket institutions will prevail. No more winning for the Gipper. It will be winning for the Franklins.
With the proverbial gun to my head I wish for Ohio State to beat Notre Dame.
In a championship game between Notre Dame vs. FSU I am rooting for nuclear Armageddon.
This is how I feel about ND vs. *. My two most hated teams. I am hoping a meteor hits the 50 yard line 7 minutes into the 2nd quarter to make sure the maximum amount of ND and * fans are in the stands.
Fuck both these teams, and their awful fanbases.
Man it’s too bad there’s no college football championship this year. Oh well what’s going on with basketball?
Not a fan of OSU due to the whole Terry Porter thing but that was on Porter and the NCAA in the pre-replay days. Horrible call from 20 yards away while the judge 10 feet away did not throw a flag.
It never should have been that close in the first place given all the talent on that team. Coker was a terrible hire.
That said, I hate ND much more so I was glad to see they lost.
