There is a particular candidate that is flat out lying about the victims of Helene not getting the help they need from the government. The blame is squarely on Congress. Why do I say Congress? Because the Speaker of the House will not call them back to vote for more help until after the election. That means 30+ days of making people wait to see how much more help they can or will get. The only reason I can think of as to why the Speaker would do that is one party doesn’t want the other party to get credit for helping the citizens in need. Also should a certain candidate win, said candidate will brag about being the one who did this and did that. No previous President of the United States of America has ever felt the need or that it was appropriate to brag on helping people. Even before the storm, some of the Representatives who live in the very states affected by the storm voted ‘No’ before the storm even hit. That shows a complete lack of care for the citizens who have been and continue to be affected by this most recent hurricane. I have decided my vote now. This made my decision very easy. I purposely left out the names because it shouldn’t matter what the names are. You can insert any name and it would be wrong no matter how you slice it.
I haven’t seen this yet but it’s pretty bad.
I feel like years ago politics was politics, but people knew when to stop playing. The country used to rally behind the president in times of war or other emergencies. These days it’s still games.
Huh?? You can’t be serious.
I have decided my vote now.
You know what…We were all waiting with bated breath…This dude is so fucking dramatic.
This made my decision very easy. I purposely left out the names because it shouldn’t matter what the names are
Tricky tricky @CaneFanSC
Saw some pretty wild stuff just north of you in Chimney Rock, Black Mountain…where my wife is from. Chimney Rock essentially is gone. I’ve just never seen stuff like this. We were planning on moving to that area in 2 years…a bit more concerned now.
I visit Chimney Rock and Black Mountain regulary. It’s just a touch over an hour away. I’m still in disbelief. 2 years seems to be a pretty good timeframe now. It may take 2 years and then some for Chimney rock to even begin looking like anything. I’ve never seen a hurricane affect the mountains like this storm has.
My wife grew up in Black Mountain. It’s her hometown
I wanted to move there but she’s put the axe on that. Seemed like the perfect, little quaint town.
It was! I loved it up there. Black Mountain is nowhere as bad as Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. Chimney Rock basically got washed into Lake Lure.
CanesSC I agree that folks playing politics in tragedies is reprehensible. I say that for both sides.
Just so you know, since you won’t name the person by name, Kamala’s team is playing politics with the Florida hurricane by trying to stir up controversy around DeSantis.
There’s a third hand account saying he didn’t answer Harris’ call. Biden just said yesterday that all the governors have been responsive and helpful and he talked directly to DeSantis! Sounds like Harris is playing games with people’s lives on the line.
Maybe you need to get off your high horse my man.
The Harris campaign is lying to your face! She was asked directly on the view if she’s called DeSantis and she dodged the question!
Just a little more context for you CanesSC. Those funds are coming to the area. It takes a while for the funds to make a difference as is.
But do you know why FEMA ran out of money, as admitted by Myorkas?
In the last couple years 1.5 billion of FEMA money has gone to illegal aliens in the US. Putting them up in hotels, flying them around, giving them cell phones and on and on and on.
And before you go into the left argument that Trump did this in 2019 or that it’s a separate FEMA fund, Trump diverted money to keep illegal aliens out (a couple hundred million), and we weren’t in a bad position with FEMA money running out as Myorkas said.
So once again your anger should be on the illegal immigration crisis and how we are prioritizing non citizens over citizens.
False.
First, money used in the aftermath of a hurricane isn’t part of FEMA’s operating budget. It’s from the Disaster Relief Fund, operated by Congress. When a disaster hits, FEMA assesses the damage and presents to the President a more specific request detailed for that area and instance and the President presents a formal request to Congress for special supplemental appropriations.
Congress, of course, hasn’t funded previous FEMA supplemental appropriations for disasters earlier in the year even. We can thank the GOP Congress for that.
Secondly, they are two entirely different funds as you referenced. That’s not a left talking point, that’s what’s called a fact. I know you struggle with those. It is illegal for FEMA to use disaster funds for immigrants or anything else. Further, it wasn’t involved in the immigrant issue at all until Congress tasked it in 2022 to disseminate money from Customs and Border Protections to help with the influx of migrants.
Pretty simple fact checking, which again, I know you consider kryptonite.
It’s not rocket science. It’s just that your entire party’s platform is just to lie to everyone about literally everything, not much else.
Just like in Ohio, the lies are more important to you than the people on the ground.
Not really. Your party is the one that is giving illegal immigrants $15,000 on their EBT card balances and putting them up in 157 hotels in New York and flying them all over the country and prioritizing them over US citizens and legal immigrants. That’s a pretty icky party to be a part of. Gross man.
Money is fungible. Myorkas talked about the fund being depleted and there can be movement of funds. Yes, Congress needs to approve.
But the $1.4 billion going to illegal immigrants in the last two years (fact check that one) isn’t helping Americans.
It’s always easily verifiable lies with you
Always lies. Always easy. You show no concern whatsoever for the principles of the argument nor the fact of the argument. You are simply a bumper sticker for the right wing.
Btw, I love your citation of Eric Trump’s post about 157 hotels. You never look anything up at all.
Proven wrong, doesn’t care. Typical. Rinse, repeat.
Once again, another lie.
Like with the Haitians, you conflate legal immigrants, asylum seekers, with illegal immigrants.
Every single time you lie. Every single time you’re proven wrong. Every single time you show you didn’t care in the first place. Rinse, repeat.
https://meidasnews.com/news/mike-johnson-refuses-to-call-back-congress-to-vote-on-hurricane-aid
Rinse, repeat.
Just like you rinse and repeat the lies and talking points of the mainstream media.
Nicholas Sandman, the Bubba Wallace hoax, Jesse Smollet, they go on and on. You eat them up. Goes both ways bro.
What’s the unknown cost of the illegal immigration that we can’t even measure? Crime, drugs, driving prices higher etc. Who knows how many Kamala Harris and Joe B have let in since they got in office?
Staggering numbers for sure. They don’t care. No, they do care and they are purposeful about it.
You mean the reality you never care to address despite it proving time and time again you’re without the slightest clue and without any integrity to care?
Once again, bypassing the clear point that you’re lying and conflating legal migrants with illegal migrants.
Really? Because a few weeks ago you told us it was 11 million. Were you lying or just an idiot?
Staggering but you don’t have the numbers? Gotcha.
They just can’t help themselves
Look at this sad wahtaboutism after being proven wrong.
“Nuh-uh, you’re a poopy face!” is what this amounts to.
How about addressing your initial false claim that was proven wrong? No? You’re just gonna skip past that and move on to the next bit of propaganda?
I didn’t realize until just now that Indiana is an old man who believes everything Fox News tells him.
305 coming here with the sophomoric insults. Warden is wearing off on him.
Noticed you still didn’t address your false claim?
You just gonna live the rest of your life pretending it never happened?
