I spend a substantial amount of time watching films of prospective recruits. I especially liked the tapes of LB Karsten Busch, the No 1 player out of Kentucky, who just arrived on campus having missed spring training. I think Busch may see some early playing time this year. Busch is very athletic, has good hands, could play H back on offense, and is an impactful blocker and tackler. What stands out in my mind is his lower body strength. Among his films is one of him successfully squatting 600 lbs. That is Reuben Bain-type weight. Busch is still a teenager and he not only lifted the 600 lbs once, he did it twice. I am anxious to see how Busch fares this year. He may be one of the freshman surprises.
Ya his stock definitely rose and there are definitely some DIFFERENT size/speed strength stuff going now with him.
Must be said though, he is the only signee to not make it in early. He will be enrolling this summer.
