OR WE HAVE A GUY TALKING ABOUT “MONEY BALL” OR ANOTHER THAT HATES ALL COACHES AND EVERY POST IS COACH BASHING EVERY SINGLE UM COACH EVER…
STORM BELIEVES WE LOST 2 RB THAT WOULD HAVE POUNDED THE LINE BUT THEY WERE HURT SO TAKE KNIGHTON OUT OF THE GAME WHAT GAME BREAKING THREAT IS AT RB?
THE GUYS THAT GET A COUPLE YARDS AND EVERYONE IN THE STADIUM IS WAITING FOR IT?
KNIGHTON IS IN THE GAME BY STUGOTZ RULE HE HAS TO RUN TO THE PERIMETER
Franklin should have been a factor much earlier than he was…Especially when you ended up burning his shirt (which I’m fine with) anyway. How he ever got behind Brown on the depth chart is beyond me, but I’m sure it was a really, really, really good Diaz-type reason.
Lashlee shit the bed for the first 4-5 games because he tried to be a run first offense. When he lost his top two RBs, multiple OL, his QB of choice, and the season looked lost, he finally started to pass to open up some runs. I’m not sold that Lashlee is the best OC. He consistently goes conservative with runs when we are clearly a pass first O. Then we have personnel choices like pope and Wiggins over anyone who can catch a cold. Clearly it wasn’t as bad as Diaz on D with Jenkins, Hall, Ivey…
You clearly can’t read for shit much like your writing skills.
Lashlee adjusted his play calling after the very bad start. You act like TVD is a true freshman with absolutely zero snaps with the first team or in a game.
THE ADJUSTMENT CAME AFTER WHAT IS POSSIBLE THE BEST QB IN THE HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL STARTED PLAYING FOR THE FIRST TIME AND GAVE HIM A COUPLE GAMES TO GET GOING?
Simple; king isn’t a pure passer. TVD isn’t a running QB. The OL couldn’t run block for either which gets back to my point. Coaches held back the team with bad personnel and play calling.
You also need to stop with the TVD is the best in school history. He is the best in 20 years. He has more development needed before he can play on Sundays let alone wear a yellow jacket.
100% true when the coaches decide to play kids that shouldn’t see the field at a P5 school, are hurt, or just haven’t caught passes. It is a combination of play calling with correct personnel executing it correctly. When we as fans know Pope will drop 50% of the passes, why should we expect success? When Gaynor can’t block the 0 for 3 years, why should we expect success running up the middle?
Thus, no coach can make up for lack of talent but at the same time the coaches had the talent on the sidelines and on the field. Lashlee just didn’t adjust the scheme and calls until game 6/7. Let us not forget, all of the kids that won/loss in games 7-12 were on the roster in games 1-6. All the plays called in games 7-12 were called in games 1-6. The difference was how often we passed vs ran, who was passing, who was catching. Coaches pick the players and plays. TVD threw for 300plus because Lashlee finally realized we were a pass first team. If you go look at the preseason threads, I said this team has to pass to open the run. Yet, they tried to run the ball and when they passed they had an average QB throwing.
There is more to football than arm talent. TVD has an NFL ceiling but not every kid that has a cannon makes it on Sunday. TVD has some things to work on and has one more year to work on them if he leaves after year 1. Dorsey didn’t have the cannon but he had a great football IQ and great accuracy.
Jim Kelly says hello while wearing the only yellow jacket given to a Miami QB.
Are you really saying that TVD is the best QB in Miami history which includes one HOF, multiple Heisman winners, multiple national championship winners, and a bunch of NFL QBs? The kid has started 9 games.
He also failed to recognize that Franklin should have been the primary short yardage back once Chaney and Harris went down, 190 pound Knighton is great in space but between the tackles when the defense is playing run … not so much. Franklin is a stud … no surprise if you ever watched his high school film.

Alright fellas. Time stamp was 12:30. Now we wait…To buy him out and bring him back.
It is being reported that the University of Miami has parted ways with Manny Diaz. UM president Julio Frenk made the announcement via social media this afternoon, while also stating that instead of an “inconvenient” national search, they’ve paid $5 million to SMU for buying out Rhett Lashlee’s contract, signed 90 minutes prior to this writing. “We are excited to have Rhett back at the University of Miami leading our football program,” Frenk said. “After the 90 minutes he’s been gone, we’re looking forward to him building a national contender.” Details of Lashlee’s contract with Miami are reportedly a 25 year deal worth $500 million, guaranteed, with a buyout in that same amount, that does not diminish over the life of the contract.
