I’ve said that it was going to be around for years. Now I’m leaning towards GSCs position that we won’t beat it with vaccines. Instead, the vaccine will just limit the intensity of the virus. People can elect to get the vaccine for lower chances of getting and lower risks of death BUT it does not stop Delta and future variants. Even if we got 100% of the world vaccinated over the next 5 years, the new variants would require booster shots which leaves us chasing this thing for a long long time.

We need more ammo to fight this thing.
I have yet to hear anyone on here have a bad case of Covid that was willing to share it on here. I guess it would be tough knowing others wouldn’t give to shits and just attack.
I just heard of the first case of someone that my wife is friends with. Her friend has parents in their 70’s that just got COVID and the mother is in pretty bad shape. They didn’t have the vaccine. That’s the first case of a friend of a friend type I’ve heard so far.
You’re lucky. I know tons. And everyone who’s gotten it since getting vaccinated are having very little symptoms.
The overwhelming number of people who are having problems with it are not vaccinated.
Just saying.
Someone in my family got it early, got the vaccine, and just got Delta. The early case was bad! Weeks with low oxygen levels. Delta has been mild but still worse than the flu per my family member.
