I know this is way off topic; but sometimes, I think these youngsters don’t realize how good Larry Legend really was. He was an absolute monster. People say, “Oh, Lebron is better than MJ cause he was bounced early.” Yeah it was those Celtics that was bouncing him. Those Celtics teams would have bounced Lebron early and often too. Those Celtic teams were straight up filthy, and I mean that in the good way. People also say, “Today’s players are so much more skilled and athletic.” Larry was one of the slowest players out there, and he still would light you up. The Lakers and Celtics of the 80’s would destroy teams of today.

Larry was a bad ass. Him going up against Jordan was epic.

Did every thing above average average to great.
Could shoot, score, rebound, play D, pass like a guard, and tough as nails.
The 2 years before he joined the Celtics they were terrible. 29 and 32 wins. He joins, 61.
3 chips. If Magic and Kareem aren’t in the way maybe he wins six or more. Great rivalry.

I hated the Celtics back in the day. Couldn’t stand Bird, Mchale, Parish, Johnson, Ainge.
Always rooted for the Lakers and Bulls over them. But they were so good. Looking back, it’s amazing some of the things Bird did on the court. He made some of the best passes you will ever see, and just tough as nails.
Watch some of the replays and you’ll realize just how great he was. And he played in an era with a lot of hall of famers.

I actually don’t have Lebron in my top 10. He’s not better than Kobe in my book. Then again, it also depends on what you look for in a basketball player. Lebron flops entirely too much for my taste. Any list that doesn’t have Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on it, is disqualified.
I don’t have Kobe in my top 10…Or if I do it’s right around 10. I wouldn’t anyone who did. I would argue against top 5 though.

I’m also higher on Barkley and Wade than most. I remember when I looked at some lists a year or two ago they were down in the 20s, they are probably in my top 15 or just outside it.
