I’m not opposed to this either - obviously you can still bring one now as long as you can prove that you/your reputation was damaged somehow by incorrect media coverage.
Right now they have almost complete litigation protection. Outside of lying about minors, they get away with almost anything.
I remember as a young sales guy I met with the GC of a top 10 media publisher. Most of his/her duties were internal. Licensing, contracts, employment. Libel wasn’t a concern.
