It begins

Keep that same energy when it’s time for you to meet God. Keep that same level of arrogance.

You think it’s fear! You thinks it’s all about control. You know nothing and don’t want to learn. That’s on you. At least 3 people on this board have witnessed to you, but you have hardened your heart and have just written it off as a fairy tale and mysticism. I’m not going to say I told you so when you meet God. I’m going to be sad for you because we tried to tell you. However you, bikki, and 80 are free to exercise your free will. Warden, I haven’t given up hope on because of his knowledge of scripture.

Bill Burr for the win!

Great thread on Reddit regarding bill Barr and his comment. Very enlightening.

I think for me the encroachment of and immorality of religion on decision making in government is one of the things that scares me the most. Talk about a slippery slope.

Our penal code is basically the Ten Commandments.

No matter how you slice it law will aways be undergirded but a societies religious morals.

Incorrect. Our laws are built on Hammurabi’s Code more than the 10 commandments.

Let’s take a look.

10 Commandments
The 10 Commandments

You shall have no other God’s before me.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images. …
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. …
Remember the Sabbath day and keep it Holy. …
Honor your father and mother. …
Thou shalt not kill. …
Thou shalt not commit adultery. …
Thou shalt not steal.
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor
Though shalt not cover thy neighbor’s wife

SO, the first 5 are not applicable in US law in any way
#6 isn’t applicable in US law

In conclusion, out of the 10…6 of them have no bearing on US law in any way, of any kind, and are not illegal

Hammurabi’s Code

Proven incorrect. You’re intellectually lazy

GSCl  wn strikes with MORE lies. Habitual.

I mean, seriously? The 10 Commandments?

Hammurabi’s Code to Greek (themis, nomos, dike), to Roman Law which evolves common law, then English common law, etc.

The 10 Commandments have no bearing on law. Again, 6 of 10 aren’t even related to any laws. 4 of the 10 are similar to a jealous child’s opinions on his own grandeur

You have to love @Warden84 and his little hamster @djrion.

Answer 1 question for me @Warden84

How could US Law be based on the Hammurabi Code if we discovered the Code in 1901 and US Law predates it?

Please circle that square for me?

You can invite your hamster out of your ass to do so as well.

Let’s not even examine the Code which is so inhumane that anyone who examined it in this forum would laugh at you.

It called for killing false accusers.

It called for vigilante Justice (an eye for an eye).

I get that your number 1 goal in life is to rebut everything I write, but it’s becoming ridiculous at this point.

And you criticize me for being harsh.

Lol, I take his insults as a compliment. Imagine if a hamster could kick your ass intellectually? I’m not sure why he is deflecting on this subject matter, but he might want to start opening some books and reading.

It’s not esoteric knowledge. Hammurabi’s Code was the earliest and more complete code of laws and dealt with case precedents regulating trade, business, and social relationships. They established a framework by which future laws were structured and topics to deal with. Our laws, as you know, go far beyond don’t kill and don’t steal. They get quite in depth and deal with commercial and property law in great detail. They are even believed to have heavily influenced the Hebrew scribes in the Book of Exodus. Roman common law is the fore bearer of medieval Anglo-Saxon laws and middle age Law Merchant and English Common Law from which we get the framework and precedent of our own laws.

Things are built on one another. Again, I’ve outlined and listed your 10 commandments and they have no bearing on modern law in the slightest. Dramatically more detailed laws predated your 10 commandments and are much more in depth, dealing with everything from private property to commercial interactions.

Your view is like that of a child. You should be embarrassed to be a grown man still thinking like a 4 year old after Sunday School. I mean, seriously, of the 10 commandments listed…the first 4, and the ones most pertaining to Judeo-Christian specifically, are expressly forbidden by our Constitution, and the 5th is arguable. You’d think, if you were right, they’d have done a better job representing, yeah?

Get real, dude. Try harder
