Wow- what a dumb answer. This assumes the egg is fertilized properly and is in a normal development process.
And it still could fail, don’t what you want me to say.
Dude the logic doesn’t follow.
If I have a 1 day old baby, that baby “could fail” any minute genetically or die to illness. It doesn’t stop them from being human, being alive, or having a right to their life.
You asked and I answered my guy. Sometimes, having natural abortions occur and sometimes human induced abortions occur.
All part of life.
The logic is 100% accurate.
Imagine a serial killer using this logic in court!
Judge- sometimes people die naturally. Sometimes I murder them.
It’s all part of life.
Lmfao
We are not discussing a serial killer. Stay on topic please
It’s a perfectly reasonable analogy.
You just don’t like the logical conclusion.
I favor the repeal of Roe v. Wade because it restores fidelity to the Constitution correcting what was an erroneous previous decision on the case. Nevertheless, I am pro abortion as each person should be considered the consummate authority regarding governance of one’s own body. The topic of abortion is simply outside the purview of our constitution.
I view abortion as a scientific way of controlling population, certainly during times of famine… I support efforts in all states to permit abortion as a right of any female human. I further believe most Americans presently support abortion and those who don’t, I perceive as dipping unnecessarily into others’ business. Minding one’s own business keeps humans out of a great deal of trouble. One person’s morals are often inimical to another’s. Republicans should remain neutral on the topic of abortion, because presently they are on the wrong side of the issue, and staunch support against abortion will fail them in voting booths. The future is not on the side of anti-abortionism.
I don’t perceive aborting fetuses as being murder any more than butchering live stock would be perceived as murder. and I don’t believe humans have souls or are granted spiritual superiority to other creatures. Humans are just animals of a higher order. Speaking of live stock, humans could be turned themselves into meat animals were superior carnivorous aliens (Morlochs) to show up and conquer the human race. Were that to happen, I believe all religion would rapidly become extinct. What an ignominious demise that would be of humanity.
Since we broached morality, it should be an easy transition for an anti-abortionist to become a vegetarian since raising veal would be murdering bovine children. Cows love their calves and become despondent losing them. George Bernard Shaw felt this way and lived 97 years, surviving without eating his fellow creatures that inhabit the world. I regret enjoying consumption of tasty animals, but I cannot say that I am not somewhat morally ashamed of my choice of cuisine.
When the egg is fertilized, the woman isn’t even considered pregnant at that point. It still has to split and travel down the fallopian tube towards the uterus while continuing to divide in a process called cleavage. “After four divisions, the conceptus consists of 16 blastomeres, and it is known as the morula.[7] Through the processes of compaction, cell division, and blastulation, the conceptus takes the form of the blastocyst by the fifth day of development, just as it approaches the site of implantation”
In female mammals implantation (also known as nidation) is the stage in embryonic development in which the blastocyst hatches as the embryo, and adheres to the wall of the uterus.[1] Once this adhesion is successful, the female is considered to be pregnant and the embryo will receive oxygen and nutrients from the mother in order to grow.
There is an extensive variation in the type of trophoblast cells, and structures of the placenta across the different species of mammals.[2] However, of the five recognised stages of implantation preceding placentation the first four are similar across the species. The five stages are migration and hatching, pre-contact, attachment, adhesion, and invasion.[2] Some sources only recognize the last three stages.[3][4]
In humans implantation of a fertilized ovum usually takes place around nine days after ovulation but can range between six and twelve days.[5]
Let’s emphasize the important part there - Once this adhesion is successful, the female is considered to be pregnant and the embryo will receive oxygen and nutrients from the mother in order to grow.
You’re ignorant because you’re lazy and a narcissist
and just as a heads up, because you’re lacking integrity to learn anything…this is what can happen BEFORE implantation and thus put the mother’s life in jeopardy while being legally forced to carry to term a pregnancy that is nonviable from just that step
And your point? No one ever said life begins at the moment of pregnancy or cleavage. We’ve always said “at fertilization” or “at conception.”
The reality is that a fertilized egg has the potential to adhere to the uterine wall. Any attempt to artificially stop that process is considered murder in my opinion UNLESS there is a reason like “the mother will die if we allow implantation to occur.”
Again, until it is implanted in the uterus, it’s not even a pregnancy. So, it doesn’t begin at conception or fertilization. You really might be to dimwitted to understand even the most basics of a sentence, at this point. Your own words state - “the potential.” It’s not a pregnancy and its not life UNTIL it implants. An ectopic pregnancy is when it implants outside the utero walls.
But, one thing we’ve seen is even when you’re wrong and proven wrong, you just lie. So, what’s really the point? One of the humans with the least amount of integrity I’ve ever seen in my entire existence
And again- that’s an arbitrary definition. Once the egg and sperm combine it contains all the genetic material to be considered human. It also contains yolk which serves as food. Respiration, growth, metabolism, excretion, all begin. That indicates life.
You want to use an arbitrary definition to win a debate. Not gonna happen.
I’m done with this discussion. It’s clear where everyone stands. If a woman gets an abortion, that’s between her, her doctor, and God. I will always believe it’s hypocritical to be so adamant about ending a potential life especially for the sake of convenience. Rape and incest will always be the outlier as some suggest, but I will not be involved in either of those scenarios. From this point forward, this topic is dead to me. Overturning Roe v Wade accomplished nothing. It didn’t change hearts and that’s what will make the difference. I don’t care how many laws you make or change, if a person sees an unborn child as a clump of cells, not a person, etc, no law will change that. They may as well should have left things as they were. Let people choose to follow their free will. Same applies for same-sex unions. Laws won’t change people’s hearts or desires. Done with both topics.
I somewhat agree but overturning R v W just might save some babies that otherwise would have been aborted. It will make some women think twice about having the abortion. And if that means that child can grow up in that home or be put up for adoption in another and have life, then it’s worth it.
That’s where it stops. No such thing as god.
I’d love to see God’s reaction when you tell God that.
Too bad you nor anyone in the history and future of humanity ever will.
That may be, but I’d suggest that you have a lot more to lose if you’re wrong than I do if I’m wrong.
That’s what every religion says to scare those with feeble minds and souls.
Tragic.
