Not sure, but would love to see the unedited video. Veritas has a long history of selective editing to the point of losing lawsuits over it. This video is edited like a DJ scratching a record. But, the FDA definitely works hand in hand with pharmaceutical companies and does a lot of shady shit

The issue here isn’t necessarily a democrat or republic issue; it’s a big government issue. The politicians (yes, I’m deliberately being general here) are out for themselves and don’t care who they harm, because it doesn’t affect them and won’t affect them.
The sooner we all realize that this political divide along the D and R is a sham, and begin to realize the issue is government v. the people the sooner we might actually regain our republic.
But, that’s the issue. It’s not. Republicans are the ones who publicly talk about protecting jobs and fighting China but then protect tax breaks for offshoring jobs. People like David Perdue go off on protecting America and keeping jobs here, then admits his entire career was shipping jobs to China. Republicans will talk and talk about Big Pharma, then protect their profits on the House floor. That’s the issue - the party to which you ascribe is your actual enemy. BUT, instead of watching what they do, you watch what they say and ignore what they do. When we want to regulate banks or anything else, it isn’t the Government vs The People, it’s Republicans protecting banks. There is a monumental divide between D and R. R supported scrapping the Constitution for a conman and called an insurrection “legitimate political discourse.” Even on here…we have one Republicans who wants to the state to take over the media, thinks NASA is fake, the moon landing didn’t happen, and thinks the earth is the center of the universe while supporting a Christian nationalist state, another who is just an outright life-long racist who openly supports whomever is more corrupt, and then a legitimate nutcase who banned himself. This is the GOP.
It’s not the government vs the people. The government is made up of the people. It’s people who support the Constitution and support the country vs those who hate this country as it stands now and want to return it to 1953. It’s the people who want to support the worker vs those who want to support the corporation.
While you make some good points, Warden, I think it’s a little simplistic to assume that Big Business and Pharma don’t have their hooks in Democrats too. The issue is companies are too large and have too much influence over the law, making it legal to grift the public.
This is why we really REALLY need to crack down on this soon. I heard a radio snippet about the Biden administration changing their view of monopolies not just being bad for competition, but being bad for DEMOCRACY. And I don’t know if it was just a think piece of something tangible, but that is absolutely correct. I’ve said over and over again, this is the biggest problem in American politics and governance. It will literally be what causes the downfall of this country.
I 100% agree. Though, stating its govt vs the people is naive. The parties aren’t the same in any way.
But, until we take away public campaign money it’s all a waste of time. We should remove all lobbying, campaign spending, PACs and have a set sum to be spent by each candidate, 2 debates publicly, and zero advertising outside of that. My opinion. Remove lobbying entirely from the argument.
There’d be a lot of shady stuff happening regardless… any competitor will try to get an edge… but I’m willing to start there and see what happens.
If we remove the legal mechanism for bribes, it would make bribery more difficult to pull off and less difficult to prosecute.
Not just federally. Hell, look at parts of PA. You can legally bribe a state senator or house member
