I don’t want to seem like a hypocrite because if we didn’t make the playoff, I would have been just fine with not playing in the Gator bowl vs. Tennessee or Vanderbilt. So I can’t blame the Lamers too much for that. It would have been a message to the ACC to shove it for their mishandling of the title game.
I still say Manny has our trophy. UVA would have gotten torched.

We all at one point in time was hoping for Manny to win one, just not this way.
As hilarious as it is, I would be pissed in Notre Dame’s shoes too. Not at Miami though, but at Bama. There’s really no reason Bama shouldn’t have fallen another couple of spots.
The real reason is the conferences have more power, and the conferences want the money.

The ND AD says the ACC has done irreparable harm to the ACC/ND relationship going forward. So I guess the Irish will be leaving the league soon? RIGHT, Mr. Bevacqua? Door’s over there…..you know what they say about it.

The acc is a joke. The acc also should tell ND to kick rocks. No reason to have them in the conference for all sports accept football.
Notice the AD isn’t screaming about ‘Bama (with 3 losses) getting in ahead of them after being hammered in their last game. He’s just in a huff about the ACC.
ND isn’t going to jump to the Big 10 because it’ll mean facing a stronger schedule where everyone will have their knives out waiting to get at them. Ditto for the SEC. They just want reward without risk.

I think Freeman stays a few more years at ND and then heads to the NFL. He has a good thing going at ND. Maybe he takes the Steelers gig when they move on from Tomlin.
