The previous board began in 2002, before that was the board at www.network54.com which existed frozen in time for a long time and now no longer does. As this rejuvenated site is once again honoring Laus I thought it would be fitting here to link to a “favorite poster” role call. Not recruiting related per se but shows how Laus was held in high esteem by his peers.
miamicanes03 left to start his own board which was pretty good for some time then died off as members “silo’ed” their thoughts in blogs and such. The thought that one can do it better recurs again and again to the detriment of many centralized information sharing interwebz nodes. My hope for this new website is that the members will participate with humility and the sentiment that we all come here to learn before “schooling” others. That’s not only how the site will grow but retain the most valuable members.
I was really saddened by laus03’s passing, I still remember the post his wife came on to make after he died. I was also saddened to see miamicanes03 leave the board. .
I always enjoyed reading their posts as they were always insightful.
Rationalcane, your username fits you well. I hope your inspirational post rings in peoples ears and we all can step up to the challenge, and live up to the high bar you have set for all of us.
