I only know one person since vaccines were administered that is not vaxxed and got COVID. Meanwhile every kid in my town that’s gotten COVID- all recently vaxxed.
My brother runs the local Recreation program here. He gets the data from COVID positive athletes. 95% vaccinated.
Anyway- everyone is reassuring me today that I’m lucky I have the vax…. It’s made my symptoms mild. I wish I was enough of an asshole to tell them to go fuck themselves. As if they can actually discern that counterfactual knowledge.

I’ve been vaxed with a booster - been around people who got COVID (included my kids) - haven’t gotten it. Neither has my wife. Or parents, or my wife’s parents.
So it appears that this thing can still infect you - generally mild symptoms though.

I’ve said a million times I can’t believe I haven’t gotten it…And it does seem like recently everyone I know of (personally or read abou) has gotten it is vaxxed…Now the majority people I know are vaxxed…But still. Every new case I’ve heard of with or from family or friends is vaxxed. Been around multiple people (and this is just who I know) that have been infected including thanksgiving at same dinner people, kitchen, etc with my brother and his wife while she was exhibiting symptoms (his symptoms started the next day supposedly and it was confirmed he had it 3 days later)…Both my other brother and I were with them for a few hours.
I also know or know of both vaxxed and unvaxxed recently having to go to the hospital for it.
As if they can actually discern that counterfactual knowledge.
