I think we broke Dabo

I liked Dabo when he had his teams stickin’ it to the arrogant SEC

Now, he’ just needs to follow the Saban route, the game has passed him by as the game stands currently.

I dunno about that… Saban got out because his bagman advantage dried up with NIL and the portal. . While wildly successful for a while, I think that in the modern paradigm of what is college football today, that would be ineffective. So IMHO, I hope we never ā€œfollow the Saban routeā€

I think he meant follow the Saban route in the sense that he left college football. Lol

Indiana,

Correct, to clarify I meant Dabo needs to follow Saban’s lead and get out NOW with this new era of college football.

Saban did NOT want to compete with others for portal/NIL crap.

Dabo stuck to his guns and it’s come back to bite him…if he can’t adapt, then leave.

Ah. That makes more sense now.

Dabo could have left as ā€œthe heroā€ ….but he stuck around long enough (i.e…too long) …and will find himself being named ā€œthe villainā€. I think there’s an old entertainer saying…. ..ā€..always leave ā€˜em laughingā€.

At this point cannot one say Norvell has stuck around too long? If Miami wins convincingly will there be a mid-season firing?

We need to contain their mobile QB, can’t just assume FSU is just bad with a rivalry game coming up…
