Just remember, that was FSU’s first road game this year. Ours is next week.
What is happening in college football when Virginia can defeat FSU, but Bama cannot.
FSU had all off-season to play a Bama team at home. FSU played very well but if you watched them even against their two cupcakes their DL was average at best. They get zero pressure on quarterbacks. That is a recipee for disaster. FSU also is one-dimensional on offense. FSU is a solid 8-4 or 9-3 team.
I’m not sure Bama would beat UVA in Charlottesville. Bama is a different team post-Saban just as Clemson is a different team after losing key personnel and coaches.
Tony Elliot has done a good job of rebuilding UVA’s program. That’s a pretty good team.
He was one of the whispered candidates for the UM job before Mario was hired. He has a great, rags to riches personal story and is a smart guy. Before he got into coaching, he worked as an engineer at Michelin for a couple of years after graduating from Clemson with honors 25 years ago. His sideline demeanor is great.
