As I recently lectured Warden, being a better person is a weighty responsibility to which I consistently abide. In the matter of Britney Griner I concur with 51 since Britney IMO has been something of an ingrate in her opinion of America. Her sojourn in a Moscow jail is teaching her a valuable lesson about freedom in respective countries. I do however think the sentence was harsh, but Putin is put in tricky place where he might lose face releasing her. Her release should be orchestrated by a skilled negotiator, one I specifically have in mind. A year out of circulation will teach Britney a vital lesson. Any more time in jail would be too harsh and politically punitive.

I didn’t read much of this thread, but I’m kind of with GSC on this one. I don’t really care a whole lot about Griner. Granted, what’s happening to her is a travesty, and she’s totally a political prisoner, but there are better things to worry about than people who flaunt drug laws in foreign countries. i certainly wouldn’t trade a notorious arms dealer for her.
Personally I’m surprised bikki bothered to post about her, but then I couldn’t get through his entire post, which is why I haven’t bothered responding till now.
